Free to stay by the river. Families cooking and swimming around. Very safe place.
No bathrooms or showers. There is a tequila distillery just down the dirt road. Free tour and tasting.

Great spot! Locals were very friendly, told us to park on the strip across from the orange restaurant (Gringo Jerry’s). They also mentioned to not drive down to the river bed part. There are exactly 10 million roosters in this tiny town, so you’ve been warned. Go for a little stroll along the river, very nice and easy to get in!
Report Check-InGreat spot to get some rest. It is basically on the main road, but its a dead end, in the small town. One side houses other side the river. Felt safe and people are friendly. Would not recommend anything larger as a Sprinter. Take care tree is hanging low as well as electric cables.
Down to the river only 4WD and really small but you could pitch a tent.
No facilities, no cell signal.
River is refreshing.
This place was so amazing! There are plenty of spaces next to the river to park the car. The river is so clean and we ended up spending 3 days there just exploring the river, its small waterfalls and the sorrounding jungle :) dont miss out on this place!! no signal, really good tacos at taqueria Carmen up at the road 200.
Report Check-InWe stayed on the street by the river and had a quiet night. Locals were welcoming. We were awaken by the roosters.
Report Check-InWe arrived at the end of the day, with many locals enjoying the river. We parked our small 4x4 just over the way down to the river, and ask the locals if we can camp and spend the night here. They agreed and welcomed us in the village. Very friendly! keep the place clean and share with locals! 🙂
