Not the worst emergency wild camp. Take the access road to “playa las lamas” (posted coordinates) and follow one of the tracks some 200 m down to the cliff. Tracks are in use, because fishermen use it. Waves drown the traffic noise. No wind protection (we had none), no visual cover (we have a camper van). But Claro 4G reception 😊

We spent a night on top of the cliffs. Surface is hardpacked sand and no problem with our 2wd van. Quiet (besides the huge waves) and safe. Some fishermen in the morning.
Report Check-Ingreat spot! very nice view of the ocean and very quiet. lots of options to park. where we stayed, we didn't hear the trucks a just a little the waves. just 2 fishermen on motorbikes in the morning. felt safe. no need of 4x4
Report Check-InVery nice place directly at the water. Only fisherman here who are harvesting algies. Far enough from the hills (falling rocks) and rock underground. One of the safer places to spend the night. Scenic sunset, no noise from the Panamericana, just the waves.
