Was unable to ride a bicycle over coming from Dire Dawa. Within minutes it was hoisted up onto a produce truck. I was dropped at the edge of Awash for no charge
Report Check-InWe were only stopped here driving towards Addis, not when we were headed the other way. We had to enter the customs area and get a white paper, get it stamped and hand it in at the exit. Seemed more like a formality.
Report Check-InMotorbikes are not allowed to cross the bridge ( they are afraid tourist take pictures..no sense). To lift my scooter for 3km they charge 300bir. What I suggest it's try to don't stop at the check point, hide behind a truck and go fast. Anyway 3kms after there is another check point. The same story, try hide yourself
