Nice and green campsite with lots of shadow. Nothing exceptional but probably the cheapest proper campsite you can get in Nairobi. Paid 1000ksh pppn. Good WiFi at the restaurant, hot shower in a hotel room, decent ablutions. We were the only campers, might be different in high season.
For dinner we recommend the short 5min walk to the Sauerkraut Bistro. Exceptional vibe, food and people. We didn't try the food at the campsite.

A nice and green campsite which was peaceful. There are showers and toilets inside, just ask Boniface. Nothing special but worked out okay. The bar is noisy but full of decent and chatty people up for a laugh. Boniface is very helpful and can help arrange a taxi to places.

Apart for those 2 very anoying barking german shepperds living in the street nearby, we had a very quiet stay, as we were the only campers. Nothing to complain about, its a lay back place just next to busy Nairobi streets. Hot shower in a room (not much pressure) and toilets outside for campers. Monkeys around. Friendly cat.
We parked as far as we could from the overland buses, next to the little alley under the trees on the grass. It was great, just a bit noisy at night because of the stupide dogs. 1000 pp.
Update : one week later, we stayed there again for 2 nights and beside the dogs, it was still very peaceful. But we ate a burger at the restaurant and we got a bit sick (not good food anyway). Maybe best to avoid the food...

A noisy bar. No showers on the site, but may be offered in the lodge. Camping on a lawn behind parked safari lorries. Not attractive.

In a quiet area of Nairobi with well stocked shopping malls in the surroundings to stock up on everything you may need! We paid 1000pP for camping and 3500 for a room one night. Good WiFi in the bar.

Report Check-In

Green field with some tree but also a pakkingset for big touristtrucks and their drivers waiting for their next trip. Drivers clean all the tents on the field. There is a bar and a few places to sit and relax outside but they are all dirty and look a bit run down.
Gate is closed at night.

We were the only tourists en paid 900. 450/Child.

Now called Acacia Drive Camp. Spent 2 nights here and 1 in Jungle Junction. They are mostly equivalent: large garden area with some long-term big rigs parked in. But here there are native trees for shade and no road noise at all. Saw vervet, brazza and colobus monkeys as well as beautiful turacos in the trees. Fast Free Wifi in bar area. Hot showers in campers ablutions weren't working but we could use the ones upstairs for the rooms. If you want to make sure to not be disturbed by big rigs who leave their engine running for 20 minutes before departing better camp further from them. Paid 900 KES ppn.

Backpacker style lodge with restaurant and full bar that offers camping. Basic previous descriptions correct.
Camping: 700Ksh pppn
Fee to plug into electricity: 300Ksh per night
Laundry: 50Ksh per piece

We found the staff here to be excellent and the food good. We were here during some rains and the ground was a bit soggy and harder to dry out with so much shade.

Report Check-In

We have stayed here everytime we stay in Nairobi. Campground is peaceful and the bar has decent snack food. The owners and staff are extremely kind and helpful. They helped us find a great mechanic and even offered us a room if the car had to stay overnight with the mechanic. We left the car here for months at a dollar a day and he was as safe as houses. Not the poshest place in the world but the make up for it in spades with the fabulous staff, owners and three legged dogs.

700 to pitch a tent, 250 for beer, decent food. Felt safe and secure. Not far from fancy mall with a good grocer to stock up on cycling snacks. Popular with big overlander groups.

Report Check-In

Nice and chilled camp/hostel in the leafy suburb of Karen. Close to shops, restaurants and vehicle repairs. Large overland groups camp in the back, we camp in the front where it was quiet.
