Incredible location. Came during the week and nobody was around. Plenty of pull offs once on the red dirt road off gravel. I came in with a 22ft bus and had no issues. Light rain in the morning and it was peaceful and reminded me of Oregon or near Bryce Canyon Utah. The red roads and evergreens are gorgeous! 1-2 bars 5g
Wild camping at its finest in Georgia!
Lovely spot in the National Forest. Spent 3 nights here with no issues and had the place all to myself. 1 - 2 bars of AT&T.
Report Check-InLarge area among pine trees at the top of a knoll. Easy in and out, room for several rigs. There are a few fire rings. Totally quiet on an early April night, with evening and morning serenades by the resident whippoorwills. Love it!
Report Check-Inplace as described. no toilets or trash receptacles, so pack in pack out. several large level spots in this area. just off dirt road, which was in good condition from hwy 83. I had the place to myself. very quiet. I had intermittent cell service from 1or 2 bars of 5g & 4g on T mobile
Report Check-InGreat spot! Room for 3/4 separate parties. Very level. Also some smaller spots down the road a bit but not as nice as here.
Report Check-InGreat spot to stop off for the night. Fairly level, a bit of a climb over some roots in the road to get to the spot. Quiet with Lots of shade!
Report Check-InGreat, quiet spot in the woods. Roads were good and dry though rain may make them a bit harder to get through with low clearance vehicles. No one else was here tonight.
Report Check-InMostly quiet spot. I had a local hunter come and tell me that he had a stand just over on the other hill, so something to keep in mind during hunting season.
Note- Starr rd. has two entrances off of 83, which, in theory, join together further along. The more northern one had a bad mudhole that made even my 4 wheel drive shake its head and say "nope"! After getting to the other entrance of Starr rd, I saw where the two should have joined up, and the northern branch was heavily overgrown and impassable. Use the southern entrance to Starr rd. off 83!
The last picture is of the mud hole at the northern entrance. The Southern entrance to Starr Rd. was fine.
Very quiet spot- little dirt road off main road on maps app. There were spots for four campsites with little stone fire rings. We really enjoyed our night and relaxing morning here.
Report Check-InDispersed primitive camping. Very quiet off a dirt road. Entrance was a bit washed out. Thinned out pine forest. Room for 4 rigs. Nobody else here
