Remote BLM land close to Cripple Creek and the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine tours.
Access along a dirt road from CR11/High Park Rd, just north of Cherokee Circle. Close the gate. 4x4 or AWD may be required, depending on conditions.
We were the only people out there, and didn't hear a sound. It is clear that the area is used for shooting, however.

No one else here. We camped up close to the trailhead. There are fire rings and the sites were reasonably clean. The road in is very easy to miss from the road. Beautiful spot. You dont need 4WD to get it, but you wouldnt want to try it in a big class A or something. Our 27' Class C (lifted) is about as big as you would want to go.
Report Check-InCoordinates are incorrect! This takes you onto private land. The spot is back on High Park Rd (aka 11 on Google maps) go west, entrance is at the top of a very steep hill. I didn't stop because there was a gate across the entrance, might have said (close behind you) I don't know, there was a truck on the other side. Not a lot of big turn around spots so I just kept driving and found something else down the road. Need to either update this listing or delete it, the natives are getting tired of people turning around on their property, rightly so.
