Toyota specialist Daniel Ojeda | Mechanic and Parts

Après un passage dans ce garage il y a 5 mois pour confirmer la source d’un bruit, nous y sommes retournés au mois de mars 2024 pour des travaux.

Daniel, le patron du garage, est à l’écoute et parle uniquement l’espagnol mais fait attention de parler lentement.

Nous avions commandé nos pièces en amont au Chili pour les faire monter ici.

Nous avons fait toutes nos vidanges (moteur, différentiels, boîte à vitesses, boîte de transfert), plaquettes de freins, rotules inférieures et changé les paliers des arbres de transmission avants. Tout s’est bien déroulé en 1,5 jour. Paiement cash uniquement.

Possibilité de louer l’appartement en dessus du garage pendant la durée des travaux. 4 lits, petite salle de bains et coin à manger-cuisine. Machine à laver. En mars 2024, le prix est 25000 pesos par jour. Il y a une six voies devant le logement.

On ne peut que recommander ses services.

Daniel repaired our starter which was defective after taking a long bath in the sea. We found the original parts for our HZJ 78 at his place, fuel filter, oil filter, air filter. Nice and trustful guy.

We visited Daniel because we need revision of our Toyota Hi Lux after 7 months of travelling. We changed the automatic gear oil and also the one from the differential. Daniel also cleaned everything from our cooling system.He is using original parts. Dani is a 100% trustful person. He discusses every step with you and you can absolutely rely on his advice. And if it takes longer than a day, you can stay in his lovely apartment directly over the workshop! Whoever has a problem in and around Mendoza with his Toyota - visit Daniel - Absolutely RECOMMENDED

We visited Daniel, because we need to have revision of our Hi-Lux after 7 months of travelling. We changed the automatic gear oil and the one of the differential as well. Dani also cleaned everything of our cooling system. He is using original parts. Dani is a a 100% trustful person-he discusses every step with you and you can absolutely rely on his advice! We did make an appointment for changing the timing belt and spark plugs on our Toyota Sienna! Daniel and his team did the best job in changing what’s needed and finding out that our radiator was leaking. Best thing - while our car was in service we could stay in his rental apartment just above the garage! There is bedroom with double bed and second room with bunk bed, so 4 people can sleep comfortably! Also there is very well equipped kitchen if you want to cook some food!

we went without an appointment and he took his time with us, evaluated the problem, organized spare parts and all within one day. He also noticed that the air conditioning filter was bad and replaced it after consultation. puts a lot of effort into communicating with little spanish speakers like us. super friendly, fair price. we can only recommend.

Daniel is a very skilled Toyota mechanic. He can service all types of Toyota's (normal cars and 4x4) and also has most service parts on stock. Apart from being a fantastic mechanic he is also a super friendly guy!! He performed a maintenance and general check on our European Toyota HZJ79 4.2L diesel. Highly recommended.

Daniel Ojeda also owns and rents out a little two-bedroom appartment which is right above his garage.

Excellent service for our Toyota Landcruiser 80. we came for general service which was done really quickly for super price. Also Daniel done other maintenance our car which was needed. Daniel is great communicative guy who will explain everything what is needed. Also invited for dinner to Daniel's place and stayed for night with our camper. I had made an appointment. arrived there at 9 in the morning. Daniel got to work right away. he checked everything and replaced the broken or faulty parts. reasonable price. After 3 hours of work, we could leave again. Daniel invited us to his house for dinner and we could sleep in his house, unfortunately we had other commitments and we couldn't stay. if you have any problems with your Toyota or just want to get it checked, go to Daniel.

Can only add to the great recommendations by others before me. Did a regular service of my Toyota Land cruiser Prado. Cheap and quick. The car did not need any significant repairs, but having the confidence of a very thorough check up is important to me. I called by WhatsApp one day in advance and servicing was done between 4pm and 7pm the next day.

Highly recommended! We came here thanks to all the good comments here below. We are heading south to Patagonia with our Toyota Previa, so we wanted to do a basic service (change of oil and filter) and a general check. Daniel and his employee checked everything in a very professional way, showing us everything they did (suspensions, shock absorbers, candles, all filters, A/C, lights, tyres...). Everything was fine, except one broken light bulb and the A/C filter which was in a very bad condition. Price more than fair, I wish I had a garage like Daniel back home!

Opening hours : 8:00-12:30 and 16:00-20:00. Better to contact him before going, as he can be busy. Daniel is a specialist in Toyota only.

Daniel did an overall checking of our LC and changed the needed parts with Toyota original parts. He also checked our off-road trailer and fixed the brakes. As said before, he has a really deep knowledge of Toyota and has a real mechanical approach and not a "I change what I see" one. He is also very helpful and warmful with the family during the operation (access to WiFi, bathroom and A/C room). Your Toyota will be in safe hands!Muchas gracias perito Daniel!

Daniel has a small but very clean workshop. He only services and repairs Toyota Cars. We visited him with our Toyota BJ 75 Landcruiser (Build 1987) because our 3B engine had lack of power and black smoke.
Daniel heard right away that our valves need some adjustments. We also wanted to change our injections Nozzles i brought with us as spare parts. This „Operation on the open Heart“ was performed by Daniel perfectly, trustworthy and for a very fair price.
The old Landcruiser runs like a jungster again!
He took a lot of time to explain the work needed and informed us via Whatsapp on all the mayor steps during the workday.
He has great knowledge of Toyota Cars in general and even knows the not so common 7-series Landcruisers well. Best Mechanic for Toyota in Mendoza!

After bad experience in Santiago de Chile, at another workshop, I came to Daniel's place. Immediately, the team took care of my request and after about four hours of work, we could continue our journey. The wheel bearings of our Land Cruiser HZJ78 have been adjusted here, the brake pads exchanged, oil change made, differential lock repaired - so it was settled. All necessary parts were available and original Toyota. At the end there was a list, which things he looked for extra - service. I am more than happy with the repair, service, price. And I am sure that it will be very difficult to find a comparable workshop in the area.

We had a temperature problem with our Land Cruiser 100. We had Yacopini (official Toyota dealer in town) diagnose it and they came up with the official solution: replace anything that is remotely suspect, which is costly.

Daniel removed the radiator, sent it over to a specialist for cleaning, refilled the viscous coupling for the fan, and remounted everything (instead of replacing anything within sight).

Because the whole thing would take more than a day, he suggested a nearby hospedaje, where we stayed three nights. This gave him time to work our problem and still serve other customers.

He knows his (Toyota) stuff - filling a viscous coupling is not something anyone will do. It's the knowledgeable approach, opposite of "just replace everything".

Had I met Daniel before, then I would have asked him to do the regular maintenance (instead of Yacopini). Just because the one-on-one relationship gives me confidence that the job is done as well as he possibly could (I never met the 'official' mechanic at Yacopini, but only a service clerk).

Unlike Yacopini, he serves no free espresso, though :-) .

Daniel Ojeda is an independent mechanic, who was (partly) trained by Toyota (certificates on the wall).

He runs a neat shop: clean, manageable, away from the pressures of the official dealership. Trust and honesty are important to him (and that's a two way street).

Pretty busy shop, but never chaotic. Daniel is very patient and takes time to show and explain what needs to be done.
