Slightly further than the other overlands, a few Kms from the end of the road. This spot is by a sign that reads “cuida la
naturaleza” - accessed by a small slip road off ripio road, sheltered by trees with access to the beach (and a small fire spot).
We saw orcas and many sea birds, warning too that this is a protected area for a species of duck so please, please remove garbage.
We saw locals along different spots on the road, so while being somewhat popular we were not bothered at all. The weather was changing every hour, but we had no wind at all, which was a welcome change compared to the rest of southern Patagonia. Well worth the extra petrol from Punta Arenas.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful spot with a fire pit close to the beach. We saw lots of dolphins and a kingfisher. There was some garbage there from previous campers so thats a shame, but not that bothersome.
Report Check-InRight along the beach and close to the road but it’s quite at night and really in the evening too.
There are lots of spots to free camp in this road to the most southern point of continental America
Several spots to choose from, more or less sheltered by trees, fire rings. Perfect view on the ocean, we saw dolphins!
No stream here, but you can find some water before on your way. Good place for tent too and some spots are accessible without 4WD.
As usual, a lot of garbage... And if you can, avoid Saturday night! We had very noisy neighbors, music all night...
nice spot, saw a nice rainbow and all kinds of birds.
good wind protection.
Nice spot. Close to road but still somewhat protected. Also has some firepits and we saw dolphins quite close to the beach
