Definitely open! They start the process around 5:30pm and do the release after the sun has set. Was really magical to watch and highly recommend!

It's open and just great😍 Free for watching and lucky about donations. A great group of people there!

We came and didn’t find anything. The little papaya is totally destroyed so I don’t know if people from todostortugueros come even here anymore.

Helped release turtles at sunset. There were approximately 40 turtles released this day. Some were released every evening for the few days before and after we were there. You can camp and park for free right near turtle hatchery in a hard packed sand lot on the beach. Follow their Facebook page to get notified a few hours before they release turtles.

Dirt road to the beach is narrow and bumpy. Probably not accessible for class A rigs.

A great boondock site! Come before 4 pm to catch turtle nest dig up and informational talk, which come before baby turtle release at sundown, in the months of January and February.

Camping here is great, pretty level. Stick to the obvious hard ground because soft ground is all around, and we’ve seen others get stuck.

Two ways to access, the first option coming out of Todos Santos town with the sign for turtle sanctuary is just a bit after the laundry and the Poke bowl place. That’s a rough dirt sand road that may be challenging for some longer rigs though we did it very slowly in our 1979 class C 25ft motorhome. The second option is better, keep going about a kilometre up the road, google maps or this app will help you.

It can get busy on weekends, locals come here to drink and play loud music so be warned. Otherwise an amazing site. Waves can be strong so be forewarned. But, whales can be seen just meters from shore! Amazing place.

We came at sunset and there were many people gathered to release the baby turtles.
The release happens after sunset, it gets very windy so you want to put good cloths on, we covered with blankets.
Turtles are super cute you can see them next to the greenhouse before the release.
We stayed here over night as well, but cars were coming and kids were having party around. But here was another van so it felt quite safe to have neighbours.
