Latest Check-Ins

Stayed here Easter weekend. A few pickups went by, I guess on their way to the river. Fairly but not completely flat. It poured rain, the site gets a lot of water especially around the fire pit but it’s not sticky mud. Peaceful as heck. We cleaned up a ton of trash., but you’re gonna get that wherever hunters go in GA. There’s a lot of poison ivy but currently not any in the immediate vicinity of the fire pit and parking spot.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the forest. It rained while I was here so added bonus of everything smelling delicious. Verizon service was in and out but able to use internet on phone for periods of time. A few other campers at the spot up the road (magnoliatree) and some people with their dogs down by the water. Hunting is common in this area, heard gunshots throughout the day, so take care to stay on designated trails.

Wonderful spot to stay for the night. Gravel road, very remote. Saw a few campers at the spot up the road. No cars pass throughout the night and woke up in the morning to the sound of cows mooing in the distance.

This is a great little spot. I tried the area down by the boat ramp as well but I felt like this was a better place to post up. Absolutely quiet not a person around and surrounded by trees. It had just rained a lot so this area was a bit wet but even so didn’t pose any major issues getting in or out. Highly recommend if you want to check out from reality for a night or so. Nobody came by or asked any questions so that wasn’t an issue. Only very minimal T-Mobile service here that was really not useful unless I walked up the path a few minutes.
