We came here to do the penguine tour. Beautiful place directly at the water between two campgrounds. We didn’t find another wild camp ground in Punta Choros at the water without the need of 4x4.

Nice spot in between a camping and the information center from Conaf. We were allowed to use the toilet of the camping for free. We had a peaceful night.
Report Check-InIf you’re searching for that “middle of nowhere” feeling, this is the place for you. As soon as you turn off Ruta 5, a dusty road winds through a desolate yet awe-inspiring landscape: camel-coloured rolling hills speckled with stubby desert shrubs and cacti, graceful herds of guanacos, and curious culpeo foxes skittering amongst the rocks. The quaint fishing village of Punta de Choros seemingly appears out of nowhere. We followed the sandy road to our home for the night: a stretch of sand and shells nestled between the protective wall of a campground and the marina. Here we were met with a spectacular view: thunderous waves against the backdrop of a dynamic, moody evening sky. Not a soul in sight except for a polite dog seeking friendship and a pat on the head. We awoke to an ensemble of pelicans and cormorants resting on the rocky shore.
Report Check-InAmazing place next to the ocean. Lots of animals and birds to watch. Nice scenery.
At our time nearly a ghost town.
camp ground to the left allowed us to use shower and toilet for free.
