Take road beside river, follow it up mountain approximately a mile. Road to site is on the right. If you look down road you can see the benches and fire pit. It is gravel all the way up. I drove my 22’ 2wd Class A. The road to site dead ends at site. Quite and nice over look with fire pit and benches.

gated and guarded now, no more camp spot. one of the best spots in the area i’ve ever stayed but haven’t been in a couple years. most of the spots on this road to lake cowichan have new gates blocking them unfortunately:(( too many active logging routes and they wanted to prevent protesters from having places to stay last year im assuming
Report Check-InAccess to this campsite is currently blocked by at the fairy creek blockade which is trying to protect the old growth forest on first nation land from logging
Report Check-InThis is now an active protest site against logging of old growth forest. We had a friendly welcome and we're invited to stay for the night. We were informed that we might get arrested for trespassing in case of a raid... but that didn't happened, yeah! Well organized protest site with portable toilets, shared kitchen area and fire extinguishers. Plenty of room to park in the gravel pit.
Report Check-InFairy creek logging protest blockade restricting access to the area. not a good place to visit at this time.
Report Check-InSpent the evening of March 26, 2021 at this spot. Forest road off Harris Main was in great shape, but spur road to campsite is starting to get brushed in...spent some time with my axe clearing the more troublesome alder. Campsite itself was great...lots of space, great views, well drained, benches and fire ring. Lots of garbage and TP around though.
Report Check-InAwesome place for the night! Beautiful view. Well-maintained gravel road to the spot. Easy drive for a Dodge Caravan. There were loads of blackberry bushes around! For us it was the best iOverlander spot so far on our road trip!
Report Check-InFantastic spot! Well maintained gravel road, ok for every car/van. Big firepit and bench, great views into the valley!
Report Check-InUp a gravel track with some steepish bits (average 15- 20km/h in a 18.5ft camper) but totally doable.
Gorgeous view of the forest and quite quiet. There is a campfire and benches but it’s hard to find wood if you don’t have a hatchet so bring one or your own firewood.
The ground is quite uneven so two campers spaced apart could work on the most level bits or three cars at a push.
It’s high up so there’s more wind and it gets cold quicker as the clouds descend on you but it’s an amazing spot.
