Description
Free, secure camping in the parking lot of Playa Cavancha. A very popular walking, skating, riding, jogging area in the evenings. May be noisy, but earplugs worked for me. No facilities that I saw.

we spend like 12 days in the same spot and was perfect. no cars at midnight with loud music like in arica. here, pass midnight, is very quiet even the avenue. you can use the public showers inside of the beach. all days are people sale all kind of thing and on weekends there's a "feria" with nice people. you can ask for water to employees who use for grass or fill your cans on showers. we sale our products (handcrafted) without problems with the feria or others sellers, even police or inspectors.

Report Check-InFree outdoor showers on the beach. Public bathrooms both to the north and south of here, but only open for a short time during the day. Market along the parking on weekends, so noisy. Would not really recommend this parking unless you need to be in the city in the morning.

We spent 3 nights here, no problem. A bit noisy but not bad at all.

Report Check-Inthis place is not suited for big rigs. however 3 or 4 toyota l cruisers were parked with roof top tents. looked like a great spot to park.
Report Check-InDANGEROUS PLACE!! Not recommend it! Sleeped here for 2 nights and in the second night someone tried to break into our RV by making a hole in the windscreen! We left immediately!
Report Check-InWe set up here and then two different sets of locals came and urged us to leave saying it wasn't safe. When the churros cart lady basically reprimanded us for staying we decided to pack up and leave at 10pm to the flight park also on ioverlander. Things probably do happen here depends on your luck.
