BEST wild campsite in the Gambia.
This campsite is 2.9 km south of a village called Sambel Kunda. It‘s a tough piste to drive on. No 4x4 required, but make sure your car has good clearance. We did it with a 1975 VW Kombi. You might get a few scratches of the frees. No big rigs.
As we arrived, we were surrounded by a whole lot of monkey, who were jumping and playing in the trees. Some local fishermen passed by. They come over for a chat and were super friendly.
Lots of fire wood around, so you can make a camp fire at night.
Use maps.me to find the spot. We pined it there, too.

Very good place, to arrive don’t need 4x4, but not good for big rig. Baobab and monkey yes!
Report Check-InStill a very nice place, lots of different monkeys around. Some local fisherman passing by, but everybody was very friendly. We were even able to buy fresh fish from one of them. But sadly quite hot during raining season.
