A cop truck on the south/east side but the cops were on the other side going north. Didn’t see them stopping anyone though. Saturday 10 am

Traveling towards Merida officers waved us through without having to stop.

going towards Valladolid, there was no search... seems to be more directed towards those entering Merida.

The check point is still there. A policeman stopped us in our van and, since we could not understand what he was asking for, he released us almost immediately. Not speaking spanish - or making as if you would not- is sometimes really useful

Not friendly at all.

Still there in May 2019, very friendly piliceman, they ask for all the papers and checked the car. Everything was ok.

Asked to see the drivers permit.
A copy is good. Asked if we had drugs or guns
Demandent à voir le permis du conducteur (une copie suffit). Pas de fouille, demande si on de la drogues, de l'alcool ou des armes.
