Something not right?

Description

Very nice place, basically a proper Western style hotel. 20 000 for a small room, also 30,000 and 45,000 options. For 45 you get a bathtub, kettle, two room suite. All rooms have mediocre air-conditioning, TV, bathrooms with okay showers and toilet, hot water, clean beds, 1 towel. Still no WiFi. Nice splurge for this part of the world.

15.000 MK for a single room with a not so cold shower and a European toilet, including breakfast.
My bike didn't fit into the room, so it was stored in the corridor.
Otherwise the place has good vibes, it feels very safe.

Simple and clean, breakfast with chips and instant coffee for 1 person. Extra breakfast is now 4,000. Rooms 20,000/30,000/45,000
Very central, close to town.

For same price probably better places, but this was fine and staff very friendly.

A little bit run down but clean, running water, ac and food in demand. Rooms at 12.000, 20.000 and 30.000 MWK/night incl. breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Staff was really kind and helpful. The place was really clean too. We asked for a room but the cheapest were already booked. So we asked if it was possible to camp and they allowed us without any problem. Cost for a couple was 5000MK, probably cheaper than anywhere else in karonga.
There is no wi fi and breakfast is not included, but is really cheap anyway.
Perfect place for a stop after the border.

We arrived when it was already dark but they opened the gate for us and were very friendly. We could camp and use the bathroom of one of the rooms. For us it was perfect for one night. We paid 2500 pppn.

Double room with western toilet and shower for 2 people for 12,000 kwacha. Room is a bit small but it has what you need. Mosquito net and air con in the room. Breakfast included for 1 person, 1500 kwacha for the second breakfast. Restaurant available and the food is amazing ! Menu picture attached. Paid 11,400 for 2 x half chickens with chips (and salad) and 4 cokes. Very delicious food and I would recommend eating here. Accomodation is kept clean and plenty of parking available.

Prices for small room are now MK12000. I don't feel it is worth the extra amount!

Nice guesthouse where we be allowed to camp :)
We paid K10000 for the 5 of us and we said we would eat in their restaurant (local food).
We could use the toilet and shower of a room.
Very friendly staff! Perfect for the night before heading to Tanzania.

Good place to stop before or after border crossing. Many ATM’s in town. A variety of rooms at different prices, clean, ac and western toilet. We specifically asked if the rate included 2 breakfasts(yes, it did) but after breakfast we were asked to pay for one of the breakfasts. Clearly a lack of communication between the staff. Overall good value.
