From the highway, take the small dirt road around the side of the mountain. Once you’ve passed the corner of the mountain, you’ll be able to see the river in the valley below and the mountains beyond. Spectacular views. You have to park right on the side of the road so there is no privacy from passing cars. We arrived at 5pm and didn’t see a single car. Only heard 3 cars passing late in the night. If you didn’t want to stay overnight, it would make a great lunch stop.
Not suitable for big rigs. Turning around is difficult as it is a narrow road so only cars and small campers would fit.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I really confirm it’s much better to turn right instead of taking the left road. A few hundred meters, even before the ruins you’ll find as much place as you want to stop on the side of the road and not in a private property. Windy until 9 pm but the wind completely stopped for the night.
Report Check-Inwhere the road splits, take a right. go on for about 700m. pass between the ruined buildings. around the corner there is a large patch of grass. i think it is private but you can basically park on the street, no one drives here. a farmer showed is this spot, said it is much better as the pinned one. his cows graze here so i guess he owns the land. he was very enthusiastic about our car and RT. he never saw one i think. we gave him some bread. he had a great day, we had a great night :D
Report Check-InBeautiful spot to camp overnitgh, quite and peaceful (only few cara passing by).
a bit windy but not so cool. it's better to stop 600mt before the point in the map, where the road splits un two.
the sight is amazing. no services near
Awesome spot! Had three cars pass during the night but no dramas, they're all on their own business and didn't bother us. I wouldn't go as far as this spot is marked, there are better spots a bit closer to the main road that don't put you right on the cliff edge. Watched some piggys exploring the area in the morning. Great sunrise. Peaceful.
