Something not right?

Description

Nice, but expensive campsites on the cliff. Paid 360 mxp for 2 people. Camping on a cliff with trail to the beach, sites with picnic tables, and a very nice recently constructed bathroom and shower. Very expensive, but maybe worth the cost . Dirt road coming in is very steep and windy. Probably not doable for big rigs.

Make sure to follow the orange detour signs for Salsipuedes when you’re on hwy 1 otherwise it is very difficult to find this place, which hopefully changed once road construction is completed. When you arrive at the gate there are are a pack of dogs that may or may not jump on your car, especially if you have a dog with you, but add to the general sense of security. You also have to show them your identification and fill out a waiver before entering. Camping was $15 US for one of the most beautiful places on the cliffs. They had flushing toilets and showers that may or may not be hot. Lots of locations to camp either directly on the cliffs or in olive groves that offer plenty of shade. There are also casitas to rent if you are interested.

Couldn’t get there. Road construction prevented me from accessing the site. On highway.

Gorgeous, super safe, super peaceful
Steep road.. should be fine if you have decent tires .. didn’t need 4x4 .. did have it in 1st tho getting out of there. The owners of this private campground don’t live on site but it’s very well managed

Report Check-In

Well maintained campground with shower and bathrooms for men and women. This is a famous surf spot but only one other person there. Surf was decent. Beautiful view of Pacific. Pricey 300 pesos per person or $15 each but locked gate with guard for safety. A good place to stop after crossing border.
