Gates open, but there is a huge gravel turn around just in front of the gate. Far enough away from the freeway. Great place to spend the night.
Report Check-InBig pull out areas off the left road as described, got pretty windy during the night but the ground is great to stake a tent into.
Report Check-InGreat spot secluded and quiet. Good spot to fly my drone for the first time. Old quarry is kinda cool. It was cold but thanks to the heat in my Off Grid Trailer I was good. Big area for whatever you use.
Report Check-InThere is a service road to the left of the Quarry that bypasses the gate. Multiple different roads that lead up to the hills to camp in. Not a single soul. My dog loved roaming about. Perfect service even into the hills but I was on foot. Not sure how far back into it cuts out. If it wasn't supposed to snow I could see myself spending a couple days roaming the area. AWD, 4WD or high clearance vehicles recommend on the left service road, however I don't know if it's fully required during dry times.
Report Check-InGreat find! The spot doesn’t go back as far as described. There’s a big gate, but at the gate is a perfectly flat turnaround with not a soul in sight! Also, the cell reception was amazing!!! Perfect for streaming a movie!
Report Check-InCamped 1 night here. Very desolate and private. Beautiful desert views. There’s a rocky road to the left as you reach the quarry that’ll lead you around back so you don’t hear and highway noise.
Report Check-Ingood off freeway parking. beautiful stars and great views of the desert in the am. my dog loved playing ball here. I picked up three piles of dog poop that weren't his.... please pick up after your pup's and enjoy these places.
