Nice quite beach. There are two ways to get here, the first and easiest way is to take the right turn a few hundred meters before the Balandra turn off which will lead you out to the norther tip of the peninsula from out there there are many tracks heading to the various beaches, the other option is to drive the length of playa tecolote and take the track skirting the headland. Normally I would suggest high clearance and maybe even 4x4 as there is some sand but sure enough a small sedan pulled in for sunset least night so.... Lovely swimming and snorkeling off the headlands...

Wild Camped here last night. We had a beautiful view of the island and a few others enjoying the beach. You do need 4x4 to get here the sandy road has seen better days. Very rutted by erosion. The turn off the road has a sign that it’s private property however if you follow off to the left it circles back to public beach access.
Report Check-InSlept in our truck camper camper right on the reef. Super windy the first night, not so much the next two. Beautiful clear water with tons of fish for snorkeling.
Report Check-Insame as what others have written amazing sunset, priceless destination quiet place, pack in and pack out.
Report Check-InWe came here by way of Tecolote beach. Tecolote is very busy, and there are always issues with petty crime, so we chose to go over the hill and camp just west of this marker. We think it was a great choice. Not many campers around, and those who were here were very spread out. Insane sunrise and sunset views.
Zero cell phone reception, regardless of carrier. Starlink has perfect view of the sky and its normal fast numbers. No problems whatsoever. Plenty of sun for your panels too.

Report Check-InDune camp near Pilitas. Drove up along the beach road from Tecolate to get here. Nestled between dunes to block the wind a bit.
Report Check-InNice little beach, better than Tecolote playa! No 4 AWD needed at all
Report Check-InNice spot to get away from the crowds of Balandra and Tecolote. We went a bit further past this marker and found a nice spot on the beach, took a steep sandy path down to the water. Nice rock shelf there to camp on. Quiet, beautiful water, no cell service.
Report Check-InReally lovely. No cell service and can get very windy. Small rig high clearance only. Other than that, what Baja dreams are made of.
Report Check-InQuiet and tranquil beach all to myself. Glad I had 4wd on the way in as the sand got soft and deep in spots. I followed a road parallel to Tecolote past the white house at the end where the road climbed up around a narrow shelf over the water and then opened up into a sand stretch. Many turn options lead to the beach where it's wide enough to drive around. Wound up parking on a small rock shelf near the end of the beach. Lovely spot.
Report Check-InKept following the water NE as it passed in front of a white house, from this point on a ton of spots on the sand or cliffs above, drove through approx 1 mile along the road to a more private spot. Really beautiful clear water, few locals at night but one stayed late, met a fellow traveler and camped together, later in the evening a caravan of off-roaders pass our camp but just waved. Bugs were bad. Road was passable with 2wd and high clearance.
Report Check-InLots of places to stop for the night. We had no problem navigating the roads with our 2wd. There was no wind and it was a mild night, so we slept out under the stars. Really good spot and calm sea, perfect for a morning swim.
Report Check-InIndeed there are many possibilities to camp and we found it much nicer as Tecolote. Some sites are higher with a nice view over the beach and at the end of the bay you can drive down right to the water and camp there - no 4x4 needed. Some Wind protecton, no shade, no infrastructure, free. We stayed three night and loved it.
Report Check-InBeautiful beach, pretty easy to get to. Felt pretty safe although we were here Sun-Tues and had quite a few people, mostly Mexicans, pass through or stop Sun night. No facilities but we did have spotty cell coverage.
Report Check-InLots of great places to camp. Windy. Easily doable with 2wd.
Report Check-InAwesome free option! No toilets, no water, no shade. Head into Tecolote then keep driving along the water, headed NE. There are two roads, one cuts in front of a house and around along the water, the 2nd option is about 100m back from the water, same direction. There are a ton of great sites here with incredible views. Expect a lot of wind from the North!!
