damon.rousis | Definitely one of the better ‘picnic areas’ in area. Out of site of the road and more sheltered than most. Can still get pretty windy though. 2-3 bars LTE on ATT. |

ElTractor | A trucker overnight stopover with hot showers and bathrooms. I parked in the far back of the unpaved parking lot, and it was semi-quiet (no pun intended)...some traffic noise and truck engines, as you would expect, but inside a safe area, and off the road. The truckers were hanging out and having a meal in the little steel palapa and were very friendly and helpful. They told me that the office is closed Sundays but to pay $100MXN in the morning. Showers are $50MXN Very friendly truckers and manager as well. Here’s the Google reviews and map

WanderingBison.ca | Fantastic recreational site, along a beautiful river, surrounded by mountains. Accessible in the winter depending on the amount of snow and your vehicle’s capability. Make sure you check the forecast as weather can change rapidly, and be prepared to be snowed in. No cell service. |

SolInvictus | Ste. Genevieve City Park. We asked and we're granted permission to park for the night by some very welcoming staff at the park office. We selected a spot atop the hill next to the Pavilion and right in front of a cell tower. Perfect for cell access. Quiet, private. Be sure to ask permission. |

TheAtlasEndurance | Established campground at Killens Pond State Park. 6 loops with about 8-10 sites each. We camped in a rooftop tent but the sites are big enough for a large RV/Camper. One heated bathhouse centrally located between Loops C and D with flushable toilets, sinks, and showers. Electrical and water hook up at the sites along with a picnic table and fire ring. There is a tent only area that you can park and hike into to camp. There are walking trails and the pond is accessible for activities. We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night - Saturday was very lively around the campground, Sunday was much quieter after many folks left for the weekend. |

to_feel_connected | We tried this place but didn't get here until 9:00PM, and the gates were closed. We tried two different entrances and then decided to settle for a campground and got the same problem of a closed gate. We've been to places before where you're supposed to open the gate and let yourself in and lock it behind you. So we tried that, but this is not one of those places. So, might have just been unlucky with them deciding to shut all the gates or maybe you just have to be in the area before sundown. Either way, we couldn't stay here. We ended up at the Florida Trail trailhead across the street. Super loud because it's right next to the road, but we were all put of options, as we'd already stayed up passed our usual bed time by two or so hours. |

conchscooter.blogspot.com | 100 feet (30 meters) from Highway 40 at the entrance to a sandy forest road, a clearing with an unfortunate amount of household debris and trash. Suitable for a van, ours with a height clearance of 10 feet (3.3) meters scraped a few light branches getting in. Noisy from passing traffic, no amenities. Good Verizon cell signal. |

2hobos | We stayed at one of the pullouts about a quarter of a mile from the spot marked on this post. Road in was rocky and rutted, doable in our 26 ft class C but not fun. It was very windy when we were here, and also apparently the Doña Ana range was conducting late night testing or bombing or whatever they were doing, sounded like chemical plant explosions, every few minutes for several hours starting in the evening through late night / early morning. It was disconcerting, especially not knowing what exactly was happening and if these were planned explosions or not, along with the high loud winds, our dogs and we were on edge all night. |

mokayukiko | We have 2wd Ford Transit. We don't recommend driving beyond the mouth of canyon, too many loose rocks & washout. The view was spectacular even where we parked. We hiked for 2 hours along the riverbed and canyons, didn't see the waterfalls (maybe dry season?) but it was beautiful. No reception. |

TheRollingStowes.com | Confusing at first but then we saw the camping sign (kinda small). Pulled up on the levee and there we were! Picnic tables and fire pits with a little cell service. Very quiet. YES, flying insects but we have the K.I.S.S. Airflow screens that kept the van bug free. You can buy yours at www.TheRollingStowes.com |

Gemini2020 | Stayed here last night, checked in upon arrival, they charged $10.00 on a Saturday night. There were a few other big rigs here. Have to be self contained. It’s a couple of large grassy parking lots. But it’s 10 bucks. Worked for us, and there’s Security too. |
