Water may be shut off in the winter. We found the spigot as described in the previous post but moving the handle did not coax any water out.

This is a cabin constructor as well as a service place. Perfect if you need damages on the fiber cabin done or just services. Highly recommended.

Stayed here one night with 3 other vans with no issue. Not too noisy at night, and not many people actually stopped. There is a security officer that patrols and has an office overlooking the facilities, but paid us no mind. The semi parking out back looks rather spacious and could accommodate larger motorhomes.

Spent a nice quiet night here and slept well. Called the Tupelo Parks & Rec dept yesterday (googled for phone number). Asked for permission to spend the night. Were told, "no one's ever asked that before, but I don't see why not. Stay In the parking lot by the Aquatic Center." We did, made sure we told the lady behind the counter inside Aqua Ctr that we were there and what we were doing. While center was open, we had access to toilets. Very nice stay!

We pulled in here at 10pm.
Got a knock on our door at 8am from the park maintenance personnel saying no overnight parking is allowed.
We walked around the area and sure enough there are signs reading no overnight parking.
The park attendant also stated the police do not regulate this park. The police only get involved if park staff and/or rangers report any problems.
The park staff works from 8am - 8pm.

Not my favorite spot beings it’s located in an even more dilapidated part of the city, but it felt safe. I stayed Sunday into Monday and around 4AM the local trash company arrived and I thought the sky was falling. I recommend sleeping as far away from the dumpsters as you can always. No other issues.

Delicious Yucatan style food, nice owners, clean bathrooms. Their prices are good. We parked our class B overnight on the street in front of the water tower. It was quiet. In the morning we used the bathrooms and had breakfast.

This eco lodge has a private forest preserve with walking trails and really beautiful log cabins, they organize night walks in the property to see the most colorful frogs and other nocturnal creatures. There is a restaurant in the property and a bird photography deck for those bird watchers.
This place is owned by a local costarican family and they can let you camp on the property for a small fee or by purchasing some tours or meals.

This place has the best ratings in town.
Machines are $3 and $3.5, the attendant is super friendly and willing to help. They have change if you need. Very clean.

Propane was $1.70 a gallon! Very nice staff. Easy in and easy out. Free water and dump station. Did not dump so I don’t know if he charged.

Lots of showers (open during covid). Water was cold for about 2-3 minutes until it got comfortably warm and the time wasn’t limited. I was super impressed with the facility for only $4. Must register online and take a covid questionnaire. Great place if you want to swim laps or get a gym workout in too. $4!

MUCH nicer camping here than at the Red Rocks Campground (which is about 10 minutes from the park anyway). We thoroughly enjoyed this spot, even though it was about 30 minutes to Red Rock. It was worth the drive and the road was fine in our 2WD Promaster 136”

MUCH nicer than Red Rocks Campground (RRC is $20/night and still 10-15 minutes from the park). Quiet with good views and fairly level-ish ground. The road is gravel but easy in our 2WD Promaster 136”. Cell reception was full-bars for both Verizon and ATT.
We did see a lot of trash, so PLEASE be mindful of our beautiful land and clean up after yourselves. Don’t leave your pee toilet paper in the bushes, garbage in fire rings, or poop bags. Leave it better than when you found it.

Will not stay at this site again and I definitely don’t recommend it. It’s a misnomer (it’s NOT in the park) and the sites are lousy. We reserved an RV site (136” Promaster Van) and the ground was not level. Our reserved site was actually shared and it didn’t say this on the website when we reserved. Save your money and find somewhere else to stay.
Pros: it was quiet.

Seems I keep staying at Natedog’s checkins, but this was another good one. The previous description was good, but just point your van into the wind and it’s no biggie. Offshore wind so I pointed towards land and didn’t sway at all. Could hear the wind and water which was cool but no swaying. The drive out isn’t hard but definitely a “choose your own adventure” on which path to take. I stayed nearer the opposite corner as the previous poster but all the same really. No cops, no knocks and no sketchy situations. Good T-Mobile service.

we had a great night here (on week day)
locals passing by were all nice and polite
police pickup turning around
lots of space, very Tranquilo. we were expecting the worse so this spot was a good surprise (and free)
the waterfalls are nice, like Roberto Barillos but bigger and more blue, but you can't climb everywhere and all the shops reminds you how touristic it is. anyway we had good times, swimming and jumping in the upper part of the falls.
