I was able to buy a SIM card here with my passport, and they took a digital fingerprint, then ink prints beside each signature. 35 sol for the chip and the largest package they offered. Note, there are 2 other claros stores within 2 blocks on the same street. This the only one you can buy a SIM at.
It's a larger Claro store with counters and right beside a store with a big red sign that says CARSA. See photo of storefront.
Took around 10 mins as there was no line at the counters.

Nice place to stay for a night or a few days, close to the Gambia river, family friendly, you can camp with your vehicle (small vehicle only) for 5000 cfa or rent a hut (price to ask) has a small restaurant and cold drinks.

Free filtered water by the rest rooms. Can fill up jugs but not your RV tanks.

We drove the Benin bypass today coming from Lagos.
Except for two/three kilometres, where there was a diversion due to the renewal of the roadway, the route was easy to drive.

Superbe place. Accueil sympa. Parfait pour une nuit sous les arbres. Baignade. Douches sanitaires et wifi.

This is a wonderful spot, quiet with an amazing view. Nobody else here this time of year. Hotsprings is a must and there are hiking trails across the bridge. Good cell service, but nothing else, so keep it clean. Access to the west rim sites from the west only, but Hotsprings can be accessed from east or west. Lots of room, multiple sites. The name is confusing as the bridge down in the gorge is a couple km away and blocked off from here. Heated toilets and drinking water a couple minutes drive at the big bridge rest stop.

Nice little "civilized" hotspring, some pools very hot, some perfect. A bit busy due to spring break. Free and well taken care of.

We hesitated to come here based on the reviews but I guess if you know what you want it’s a good place to go!
We had them testing our bujias de pre-calimiento/spark plugs and indeed we had 3 dead over 4. They had the spare parts available in store which is quite unbelievable and in 40min we were gone with the new parts in place!
So we recommend in our case :)

The guys are not very friendly, they checked my CDP, everything was ok and they let me go, other friends without CDP came in from the North because here they asked for €400.

Alex is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. we stayed one night. free access to water and bathrooms. no charge, only what you wish to give him to thank him.

The entrance fee is high but it’s a nice park to walk around. You can also pay by credit card.

Free camping by reservation. Vehicle accessible equestrian campsite that non-equestrian campers can also use. A small area with a picnic tables, fire pits, a pavilion, a hand pumped water well (non-potable), and a portapotti all nestled under a sparse stand of pine trees. No trash services. Pack it in, pack it out.

Reservations are required to gain entry to the camping area. They can be made via the SWFWMD website. The website requests 10 days advance notice. Email confirmations seem to go into Spam Folder.

I stayed here about a week. Nice place with great walking trails. Has some rattle snakes, other campers saw. (I did not.) Very pet friendly. Closes for hunting from time to time. Mosquitoes were bad, stayed in my tent most of the time.

Good 4G cellular data signals on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.

The road out is in pretty good shape but those with long overhangs might have some issues.

Alphonse and his wife Adeline has the biggest Tata Somba in Benin. Very beautiful. Alphonse has a very beautiful and welcoming family. You can come to sleep on the roof of the tata. There is a place to take a shower and traditional wc. Everything is very clean. And of course have diner and breakfast with the family. It was very nice. Alphonse explained us everything about the tata and the story of the area. In the morning we took a walk to see all the Hugo Baobab around. This area is under Unesco protection so there is not a single garbage on the ground. Its so nice to see a clean area. The night on the tata was very quiet and nice.
For the night Alphonse said 3500 XAF.
For diner + breakfast for 2 he said first 10 000 but we negociated to 6000. Its more expensive than what we had in Benin but its worth it. Alphonse and his family were so nice, so friendly and with the security issue in the north of Benin they dont have any tourist anymore who visit the Tata...

At this Gas station there are new and extraordinarily clean toilets, a shower plus potable water with really strong pressure.

Two Extremely sketchy looking guys with weapons and some kind of uniform tried to stop us. A local Tuktuk kept driving, so we did not stop, either.
Definitely no official police. If you encounter them, I'd recommend to just keep driving. No one came after us.

quiet flat spot with a couple of fire pits and amazing lake views. But definitely need 4x4 to get here. My F-150 was fine but not without a couple of rock. scrapes.
