When we arrive there was a police car parked in the spot. I parked next to it and went asking if it was allowed to park overnight. He said that it was ok for him but I could be kicked out by an other officer. We decided to stay. Lots of noise from the planes, helicopters and cars passing by (day and night for the cars). Lot of broken glass, garbage. This place is in the open next to the road. We woke up at 3:30 AM at a suspicious sound like a car driving in the gravel. We didn’t found what it was. Next time we will find a another place to stay. 2 other vans on the spot. Good At&t signal

Electric Mechanic. Great service, we fixed our 12v charger and fixed a small issue with our battery. Very fair prices, only 5usd.
They sell batteries and small electric items for cars.

This spot is directly next to the tracks. 3 trains passed by in the night and it sounded like they were right on top of my truck.

NOT RECOMENDED
We tried to exchange our oil filter here and get our gear box repaired. They wanted to charge us an extraordinary amount of money. We refused to take the offer and wanted to get the spare parts. Suddenly there where no spare pats available any more.

Arturo: 64618572 and Ligia They were very sweet to us. We had a family pizza for two and were quite satisfied. We were able to take water and use services without problem. We gave him a little gift for his hospitality! No

Ivory Coast -> Ghana

First building to your right is customs. They put the data of your CdP in the computer but don’t stamp.
Next step is immigration to get exit stamp (slightly behind customs).
You then park your vehicle after the big building that looks like a huge bus station. Walk into the hall to the end, go upstairs, take third door on the left to stamp Carnet.
Ready to go to Ghana.
First step on Ghana side is to get a white paperslip with your vehicle data in the green container on the right corner. They need your CdP and driving licence.
Drive downhill, left building is immigration. First get yourself and your vehicle listed in a book, then go to the left side of the house to fill out the immigration form (outside) and get passport stamped (inside).
Then walk to the opposite side of the house for customs. They need the CdP and the white paperslip you got in the green container.
Done! When exiting the border area, hand out the white to the officer, give him time to check and off you go!

Was closed but doesn’t matter. We got MTN simcard and Tigo simcard at a small stall further down the road without any fuss about registering and passports or Ghana card.

I needed to charge my Bluetti after the 12v cord broke and found this park on Maps. There are around 6 RV hookup sites behind a grey utility building. 30amp and 20amp, water, and what looked like sewer as well. There is an office in a big red barn but there seems to be nobody here. Bathrooms at the back of the office are open and there is a shower inside. Could find no info online on how to pay. Charged my bluetti in the wall outlet outside the bathrooms but didn’t stay because I am passing through and needed to drive further.

Spent 4 nights here. For being so close to town it is not too bad. People come and go, even at night there is some traffic, but relatively quiet overall. River is brown so not useful for anything. And lots of flies, so not the best place to sit outside. For free camping by town, we would stay again. Police came by multiple times per day. Room for any size vehicle. Everyone was friendly.

Really nice place to stay. They charged us 40,000 per vehicle for 1 night. Showers were good not great pressure but still work well. No toilet paper or soap in bathroom. They have a gate that is locked at night. Good place, quiet and very pretty!

Stayed here 2 wks. Nice scenery and trails, butterflies and birds. $15 w/o Pass. Publix ~12 mi and convenience grocery/veg stand 2 mi. Adjacent highway has a T intersection and is busy and can be noisy.
Check yourself for very small ticks. We have had several embedded, not engorged. Due diligence advised! Yes, quite a few mosquitoes...

This little farm is ran by a family who has horses, cats, dogs, chickens etc. You camp in front of their house and overlook rolling fields of banana, coffee and cocoa plants. Very peaceful and quiet. It was 16,000 to camp and 16,000 for the waterfall for 2 adults and 2 kids. He said it was 8000 for adults and the kids were free. They have a gate they close and lock so you don’t have to worry about your vehicle when you go to the falls. Very safe and secure. William was here when we came and he was so nice and gave us all bananas. Hardly any bugs. It cools down at night. Not only is this place charming to camp at but the drive in is gorgeous! You drive right on the ridgeline at some points with beautiful overlooks of the rolling valleys covered in fincas. A must stop!

Wonderful time in Robertsport. Philips Guesthouse is on the best beach. As usual it is outdated, and electricity only in the evening and night. It is by generator, so if you ask they can turn it on for you if you need electricity during the day.

30 US per night, including breakfast.
Lunch and dinner can be bought at the surfclub (5 and 7 US $). Good local food is served by OJ restaurant (300 L$).

Philips Guesthouse offers drinking water free of charge. Staff very friendly.

I was able to buy a SIM card here with my passport, and they took a digital fingerprint, then ink prints beside each signature. 35 sol for the chip and the largest package they offered. Note, there are 2 other claros stores within 2 blocks on the same street. This the only one you can buy a SIM at.
It's a larger Claro store with counters and right beside a store with a big red sign that says CARSA. See photo of storefront.
Took around 10 mins as there was no line at the counters.
