We stayed at Amrit’s for three nights. Amrit and his family are fantastic and very welcoming people, true overlander enthusiasts who can also help you get things sorted should you need a mechanic or similar. The parking in front of their house is great. Shaded, in a very calm and clean area and just next to a playground (which our kids loved). Water, wifi and a lot of Punjabi hospitality! Thank you Amrit!

Good enough for one night with the tent. You can find electricity on the outside wall of the north building. People started to come around 7am

Good shelter. You can find one clean spot in the Eastern buildings. Full of ants. I lifter my tarp with stones so they didn't come

They asked for 20usd, I accepted 15usd with breakfast. No wifi, my bedroom smelled a little bit cigarette. Very clean and the only option in town. Also very noisy, close to the road and it's a wedding building

Little bridge 2x2 meters below the road. Can be used for emergencies. I camped there during the rain

You can stay out of sight from main road (18-04-2024) road is a bit noisy but towards the end of the day it is not easy to find a spot between Sanliurfa and Gianzetep as all is farmland which is using all available surfaces.

We arrive around at 17:30 and enjoyed a little sun and if there is too much sun, there is plenty shade. Nobody came by apart from the dog that crossed the area.

Beautiful and well maintaned campsite with grassy sites under high and shady trees.It looks like a park. Ablutions are very clean and bright. We would choose this campground again.

Parking lots of a park with some small trees for some shade in the morning. Close to the road and can be noisy, but apart from that we had a quiet night. Good if you want to stay in town before/after the border crossing.

$15 usd for car camping and access to dirty bathroom. No breakfast in the morning. Tried to negotiate for $10 (which would be high enough for the lackluster value) but no dice. It was late and we didn’t have another option so had to bite the bullet. But we don’t understand the previous positive comments ..

very nice place. They opened a room for us, so we also had power. There is mtc 4g mobile internet at the campsite. We paid 100n$ for 2 plus car.

perfect parking for visit the monastery. also we stay at night here, quiet place and enough flat. the cafe just a cross the road is really good 😊

I stayed here one night. In the morning a guy came and woke me up at 7am and ask for bread, I told him I didn’t have any and he left. Then another guy came 10 minutes later and wouldn’t leave, I don’t speak Portuguese but he said something about money and police and something. I eventually got tired of him and left. I guess I was maybe unlucky but not the calm morning I thought I would have :)

Best stocked supermarket we found so far in Malawi comming from the north.
Wide range of dairy products, really good choice of cheese, bacon, different sausages, good range of different wines….

Nice and clean double room for 550, warm water, European style toilet, mosquito net, electricity.
The owner Abe is a really gentle and kind person.

Lovely place, nice view, friendly staff. We could use the kitchen and they let us put the tent in a platform with a roof (to cover from the rain) but there is also plenty nice grass to camp. Good for big trucks too. Nice cold shower and clean toilets.
We paid 200 birr per night for two people with our tent. You can also use the big set up tent with beds (not sure of the price of that). Manager was not there when we visited but staff contacted him on the phone and he was very nice and friendly. A friend of the manager came by and provided us information as to what to do in the town and also helped us with money exchange. Make sure to bring your own food because shops are a bit far away (20-30 minutes walk)

here is a water tap with very great pressure. we filled 100l in 1-2 minutes 😮 its at the side of Carrefour

Someplace that can accommodate a 22 foot rv/van. Is pet friendly. Yellow lab.

Slept here 2 nights at this beautiful beach. You need a little clearance to get there but it’s so worth it. Nobody came the whole time, we were completely alone. You have a flat ground, sun and clear view in the day time :) we also saw dolphins and a lot of seals playing in the water during our stay. Jackals and maybe hyena as well. Perfect mtc signal!

Stunning park! I spent a week coming back here each day to work in my van and then a couple more to hit up all the free museums and zoo. Parking is everywhere as you can park along the road. Park hours are 6am to 10pm. Authorities certainly ticket during closed hours but never got bothered staying till close to 10pm each night then going to surrounding neighborhoods.

really small bridge, for less 3.5t ok but if yoy are mire better to take the other road
