Personal muy amable del posto, no recibió muy bien y nos dejaron quedarmos a dormir. Tiene baños y duchas gratis. Además cuenta con restaurante. No es 24 horas pero tienr guardia en la noche, lo recomendamos.

ok lot one motor home here not bothered quite seems ok I stayed to 10 am the next day. Thank you walmart I always try to be a good citizen at Walmart I clean up my area before I leave because I don't want anyone to think that was me.

Amazing Location.
This little RV park is definitely not big rig friendly, but perfectly suitable for vans/ truck campers/ smaller rigs. Offers bathrooms and showers, and outdoor kitchen and sink set up. $350 Pesos a night, which seems a little steep for dirt parking lot vibes, but didn’t want to risk getting knocked on elsewhere. Great for a night or two to enjoy Loreto with some peace of mind at night.

Immigration Office for entry into Guatemala (and I assume exit from). It’s up the hill a fair way from the port down a small side street.

If entering by boat from Belize you will need to fill in the online only immigration form, the office doesn’t have WiFi but apparently they have it further down the hill in the Municipal Office.

If you have time while waiting for the boat in Punta Gorda you can fill in the form there using their WiFi.

The QR code you need is not the big one on the main wall but the small one in the corner nearer the floor. I will include a photo of the QR code with this post which will take you to the right page. For vessel name and number I used the boat company’s name, then number 1. They didn’t check the information but you do have to show them your own QR code on your screen before they will progress you entry.

The cost for the boat is now $B100 per person which is paid in cash.

The cost for exiting Belize is $B40 per person and can be paid in cash or card.

If you have time while waiting for the boat in Punta Gorda you can fill in the Guatemalan immigration form there using the WiFi as there is no WiFi available at the Guatemala side. I’ve copied the information below from my Check in at the Livingston office but I expect the Puerto Barrios one to be similar.

Easy and friendly. Guard checked my passport on the bridge and pointed me to a parking spot; told me what window in which building to get my passport stamp. Did aduana next. The only thing that was weird was they took me from there to a separate office where I waited for about 15 minutes. They then handed me my completed (or so I thought) paperwork and sent me on my way.
I got in my van to leave and was fortunate enough that the first aduana guy saw me and ran over to stop me. Apparently I was supposed to go back to the first location for him to finish the process. Close call, that.

Also, I took my dog and his health certificate with me to every step, and nobody said a word about animal importation. Off we go to the beach!

Merci L.L.Bean! Nous y avons passé la nuit en toute quiétude. Un arrêt facile sur notre route. Stationnement publique réservé au RV’s pour une nuit seulement. Aucun service ni poubelle, seulement la tranquillité d’esprit.

Dump station still there and hole was not leaking or overflowing but the concrete patch around it was a pool of standing water that smelled like porta-pottie. Maybe someone didn't use the hole and instead dumped their black water on the concrete???

Luna del Puente es una reserva natural privada con servicios eco turísticos. Hay duchas y Sanitarios, restaurante y WiFi. Contamos con diferentes áreas para el estacionamiento del auto de viaje o la posibilidad de acampar en tienda de campaña propia o alquilada. Ofrecemos el servicio con tienda de campaña y colchonetas incluidas. La reserva natural tiene 3 senderos en el bosque, 1 mirador y Torre de Observación de Aves.

There are two bridges side by side, camping is on the right. Lots of dirt roads and atv roads, but no cars ever come by. Right on a river. No Verizon reception. I used to camp here in the nineties, the roads are new, but the sites are forever more.

The owner of this home no longer lives here. No longer available to overlander.

This place is great for a night if you are fully self-contained. The creek is refreshingly cool all times of year. Definitely will hear I-40 traffic, but you’re below the interstate, so it’s muffled.

Lots of trash all over though, so please pitch in if you use this area (while it might only be a one night stopover for you, WNC is my home, please help keep these mountains and waterways clean).

very quiet at night. pretty large park. there are not any signs stating when the park closes and I got no 3 am knocks. the park is clean with bathrooms.

we arrived at 19.15 on a Wednesday and it was dark, but it was clear there was somoeone there and the gate was open. . we were welcome. the food was nice. is now 10.000 pp very good value. he was very friendly and also invited us to camp in front but we went to the river spot as we preferred that.

Almuerzo for 10 sol pp. We didn't like it so much but they put in a lot of koriander which is hate it or love it, so we got unlucky. hope you have a better time here!

Totally agree with the comments about the kids. It was very entertaining- within minutes we had at least 15 kids in the campervan touching/ opening everything possible and some things that aren’t meant to open. They were obsessed with our spare/ old mobile phones they manage to find and kept asking for us to give the phone to them as presents.
They were super polite and didn’t take anything without asking first.
Free to park here for the night.
No facilities and intermediate Claro.

Free. Worth a walk around if you are in the area. Interesting gold figurines.

A beautiful spot! I had service but only when it connected to canada’s towers. There is too much drift wood blocking the path at this moment to be able to drive onto the beach, but the pull off is plenty big.

Great parking spot with no signs saying “no camping”. View of Denali through the winter trees. Not a lot of options in winter months, most pullouts and viewpoints still unplowed and closed, but this is nicely plowed and cleared for parking.

cretacico park. the visit is with a guide in English or Spanish. here you can see around thirty life-size replicas of dinosaurs, a small museum explaining the dinosaur traces found on the wall of the quarry next to the park. only between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m., a short 45-minute guided excursion takes you to see the dinosaur tracks. This excursion is supposedly for those over 12 years old, but that’s only because you have to go down and back up a drop of around a hundred meters. so if your child is able to do this walk they can join the excursion. foreign price: 30 bowls per adult and child under 12 years old 10 bowls. nice park, there is a small play area for children where they can discover dinosaur remains.

parc cretacico. la visite se fait avec un guide en anglais ou espagnol. ici vous pourrez voir une trentaine de réplique de dinosaures grandeur nature, un petit musée expliquant les traces de dinosaure retrouvé sur la paroi de la carrière à côté du parc. seulement entre 12 h et 13 h, une petite excursion de 45 mn guidée vous emmène voir les traces de dinosaures. cette excursion est soit disant pour les plus de 12 ans, mais c’est uniquement car il faut descendre et remonter un dénivelé d’une centaine de mètres. donc si votre enfant est apte à faire cette marche il peut se joindre à l’excursion. prix étranger: 30 bols par adultes et enfant de moins de 12 ans 10 bols. parc sympa, il y a une petite aire de jeux pour enfants ou ils peuvent découvrir des restes de dinosaures.

Wonderful kind ppl who cooked us a nice milanesa with tasty fries and rice. relatively expensive (70 sol for 2) but we could sleep here as well and use the WiFi. recommend!

Great Mechanic. Agustin is super friendly and knowledgeable. He has a full shop and was able to source parts in Ensenada and get us on the road. He also speaks fluent English which can be helpful. Would definitely recommend.
