Stayed here 1 night & spent the next day at the beach. Caught a beautiful sunset & only 1 other family on the beach during the day in April.
Tricky road getting up & down, would not recommend driving it at night

GPS navigation is wrong. Check the satellite map before access.

Spent a good quiet night here. No issues. There are “no loitering” type signs but I’m guessing that’s for just-in-case. The lot is huge plenty of space for anyone

Came here cycling, two persons.
The owner is really friendly. They told us for the moment there is nothing to pay to camp here. Just to help him back for some stuff at the place.
So to pitch your tent it’s free (under a Tree, some grass) and if you want to sleep in a bed it’s 10k per person. He proposes a restaurant too.
Cell signal, wifi, water, electricity, kitchen, bathrooms, cold showers.
There are two dogs friendly.

Very good place to stay die overlanders (and others). Our daughter really loved the Pool area! Cesar is really friendly. place was very quiet

This place is no longer free. But the good news is that it’s only 4,000 pesos per vehicle. They gave us a paper receipt and everything. You can stay multiple nights without paying the fee again.

Super chill and quiet spot. Level-ish parking and VERY open. Lots of space for big rigs. Lots of lights. Bathrooms open during the night. Clean and with TP. No showers. Apparently you can fill up your water tank, but we didn’t.

We got the cable car ride for 12,000/pp one way after some negotiating. A taxi back was 12,000. The church is super unique and worth a visit!

As described by others, spots are numbered access in wasn’t too rough. Lots of deer!

Great spot! Road is ok and with a decent antenna you get full 5g t mobile.

The shade from the trees is a reprieve from the sun. There appears to be 12 electrical boxes with multiple 120v connections unlocked and no sign restricting their use. Parking is not permitted only on one side of the park.

It’s a very nice, renovated washrooms, clean and welcoming. She charged us 35us no hookup but could ask for it. We recommend! Close to highway and easy to get.

Closed when we went by April 25, 2024 with gate locked. There is one campsite #1 located outside the gate BUT right by road. Opted not to stay the night.

Ok dorm accomodation for 15.000 a night. ac, good wifi, common bathroom

Agree with the previous write-ups that this is still a wonderful spot. Very clean rooms (25 sols without attached bathrooms, 50 sols with, in the low season) and a beautiful garden.

Showers are warm, and there is secure (but uncovered) parking for motos and cars. Not sure if a big rig can fit ...

The family that runs it is very kind, and Manuel is great! A great option!

dry camping was recently raised to 500p per night.

stayed here in our roof top tent last. Had no problems. few other vans stayed the night also

Is a spot next to the route, wind and snow shelter, perfect for a cold and snowimg nigth without roof. No cars and people like 9pm I dont have a place and found this one, i think u can't camping here but i cant stay out with snow, I'm gonna left the place like 5am or 6am. U have signal in your cellphone

This place serves quesadillas, arepas, patacones etc. We've been here three times and tried a few things and they were all delicious (good portions as well!) the prices for the food start at around 8 soles so you can have a cheap and tasty dinner which is a bit different to the usual menu. They also serve cafés, juices, beers.. And there are vegetarian and vegan options! We've always come here for dinner but it should be open for breakfast as well (not sure about lunch)
The place is simple, there are only 4 tables to eat on outside but still very nice

No signage regarding overnight parking. Small pull off with water access. No amenities but a great view for sunrise.
Traffic is minimal and the area is clean.

Please be respectful of this spot and do not trash it.

Très bon spot pour la nuit. La rue était calme et nous avons bien dormi. À 2 rues de là il y a des toilettes publiques face à la plage ouverte jusque tard. Nous sommes arrivés à 21h et avons quitté le spot à 8h.

Dog valley has no services. It is an access to private property, but there is a small area that will fit a vehicle or two. A berm of dirt protects from some road noise. No houses near.

We wanted to stay here because we saw the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were asked by a local if we could leave the spot, which we did of course! They seemed to have many problems with campers in the past because this place has been put on different platforms and a lot of people don't know how to behave (human excrements, rubbish, old camping furniture left behind, illegal fires etc.). We were told (we speak a little bit of Spanish) that it is a recreational area for residents and that it is also used by some fisherman as well the local shepherds for his herd. We are sad to hear about this, but there are too many vans and motorhomes in Europe these days and unfortunately, a lot of them don't know how to be respectful.

Tajikistan border hold everyone for 4 hours due to power outage. And the send be back and forth between the vehicle immigration and walk in immigration because both of them didnt want to stamp my passport. When I reached the Afghani side it was going to close the office as they closed around 4pm. Then they sent me to a nearby restaurant to spend the night which had good plov. Cost about 500
The next day I went and successfully got my afghan visa and road permit.
Consulate open at 9. Got there at 9:05 amd was behind 1 couple from Tajikistan
1. Visa cost 80usd (Singapore passport)
2. Road permit cost 30usd (motorbike)From start to finish it took 5 hours.

3. After they gave a recipt for the payment of visa and road permit, had to take a taxi to the bank to make payment and head back to the border. And the bank for some reason only accept afghanis money although the recipt in USD

2. Used Carnet for some other information that they could not find on my original registration.
3. 1 passport photo
4. 4 hours of questions and filling in some paperwork
5. Verbally told them my route
6. Asked to have both Tajik and Iran exit borders listed and that was ok
So Visa and driving permit finished around 1.30pm and had to wait until 2pm for the border to open again to stamp my passport
After all the ruckus and bag check. I left the border at 3pm
Overall it was pretty slow

good spot. a little offroad, but oké with our RV 25' and 2wd. come before it is dark so you see where to ride best. noice is less because of the Mountain but still next to the us191. children were happy with the fireplace.

nice swimmingpool for 7 dollars.hot tub, slide, climbing wall,(to bad it was not hot enough for the outside pool) and verry good shower. nice to be clean again! and the children lover it!

Excellent spot for overnighting. Nice view over the lake, surface is relatively flat&hard. No amenities but it’s free camping 😉

Here you can find diesel and benzin also. Toilet and shower you can find also.

Good takeaway coffee, very popular with locals!
