A great deal if you are looking for a mid-term parking to let your vehicle while exploring the City (you cannot sleep in it). Parking P5 (biodome, olympic stadium - 3200 rue Viau) is used by locals when they need a place to Park their car for a week or a month without moving it. We paid 45$ for one full week ! You can still leave before if you need to, but when you leave you cannot come back.
As we had a high vehicle (Ducato, 2,60m) we had to call the parking team before to prevent them so they guided us to an appropriate spot.
I dont have all the spec in mind so you should have a look on their website and call before going there, they are very responsive !

We spent one night there, it’s a clean space that seems new, good surprise on this road !! There is room to park (no shade), access to toilets and sinks. We didn’t try the showers but it exists. The contribution for the place seems to be 1.500 pesos per car.

A friendly man welcomed us and a kiosk with drinks and snacks was still open at 8pm.

Only cash ! No card accepted.

There is some dogs around but not insistant, we slept very well in our roof tent !

Parked my van around 8:00 pm on a Sunday night and left by 7 am. Lots of other vehicles parked over night. Pretty busy street, was quiet after 10 pm until about 6am. No signs, no knocks. Win win!

Nice spot(s)! We’ve found it by accident and then realized that it is already listed here. A shepherd came by and said it was okay to stay over night.
Entrance point is at (38.1145747, 41.7533872), from there a gravel road leads up to the place, doable with 2WD. 4G with Vodafone.

Definitely NOT overlander friendly. Wouldn't even let us hangout in the parking lot, during the day.

Simple, budget place to stay. I paid ARS$15,000 (US$15) for a private room with shared bathroom. Also rooms with private bathroom available.

Space for one or two motorbikes in the courtyard, they might be able to fit more.

Small breakfast in the morning. (Coffee, juice, bread)

Wifi is slow. Hot water available only for a few hours in the evening.

I agree with the others. Best pizza I've had in Argentina.

As mentioned, very thin crust, which isn't my favorite, but the flavor was excellent.

The standard campsite is 430 NAD for the site per night incl. up to 4 persons, incl. braii, water, sink, electricity, mostly under trees, toilette and hot showers nearby. So the price is really reasonable and worth it There are also luxury campsites, more expensive.
The pool located completely in the Zambezi River is reached by a boat shuttle, and you swim in Zambezi water. You can sometimes see hippos and crocodiles swimming by.
A beautiful terrace, nice staff and a very nice owner make your stay absolutely recommended.
Access road is bumpy but well driveable.

This is a nice laundromat that uses an app to take credit cards. They have a nice size parking lot, wifi (password is washfold), it is open 24hrs, clean and they have bathrooms that don't require a key. I did my laundry and then stayed in the parking lot to use the wifi to complete some work.

To cross the river it’s possible with 2WD.
The depth of the river needs to be checked before but for us it was not an issue because we have 4WD but the vehicle behind us was a van so after I cross the small river, the van (van camper) took the same way without issue (you can see the picture)

The tarred road ends at Sibebe Rock (coming from Mbabane). This gravel road is easy to drive when dry and very scenic. You indulge in rural eSwatini and can enjoy the lovely landscape.

Crossing from Guatemala to Mexico with a van with german plates.

As of today 29.04.2024 we were sent to another guatemalan Border (south) cause they told us the Mexico side is closed and they are not letting people in. Now for some weeks. It was up to us if we wanted to try and wait at the Mexican side, where sometimes they open for an hour or so.
but cause they all told us it was not safe at the moment we decided to drive to another crossing.

Be aware that the next crossing north of here is only for people and not for cars, there is no aduana.

Super friendly Oil Service Station for Cars and small Vans (height limit around 3m).
He hadn‘t the right Oil for our Citroen, but he was able to get in in 15 minutes.
They also changed our fuel filter and Air Filter for the same price (we brought the parts)

They have a waiting room with wifi and coffee.

This is a wonderful place to stop! We stayed overnight and it was quiet, we didn’t hear the interstate at all. We met some other very friendly van-lifers. We stayed the next day and worked all day in the van. By law you can only stay up to 24 hours, so we’ll be sure to leave before we hit that time. Staff inside is very friendly. Amazingly clean bathrooms. And there is a water bottle fill station that we used to fill up some gallon jugs of water. There are picnic tables and shelters and a few nice grassy areas.

We slept 2 nights in this place and it was very quiet and safe. There is a 24-hour Terpel station on the corner and there is a supermarket nearby.
