Richards camp is way way better than everything you will find in Tanzania. Dry grass stands with power and WiFi. Clean ablution with sit toilet and shower within hot water. Security and outdoor light. There is a kitchen to use and a nice dinning Boma. Richard as guide knows a lot about Serengeti NP and can offer day tours. we paid 20.000TZC pppn and had good fish and chips for 15.000 pp and they arranged some cold drinks.

of course don't speed but be aware police officer asked for international driving licence. In Europa all licenses are even written in English. It took a lot of discussion but he let us go.

For all the travelers: guys you don’t need a fixer, it’s your right to do everything by yourself.
But of course fixers will jump on you, even in a friendly way, to give you (to impose you) their services. This makes all the process even harder because they know anyone (and share with them their profits).
Let’s called it… MAFIA!
it is super annoying. Even I did all by myself, Mortaza took my papers when I was going out of the harbour and forced me to wait 2 more hours because some docs were missing (he said). And of course he pretended to be paid even if nothing were missing.
BE AWARE!
At least ask to the Hamid (the king of taftan border), the real costs. He works for the government too. (+98 939 371 8973… Hamid has a big group on whatsup too).

Parc à chien donc quelques va et vient.

I was here for 2 nights, super chill, amazing next to the lake. I even asked at Onkel and they let me use their wifi. Don’t need to pay anything and you can park anywhere you want along the lake here.

Location a little away from the road, with good land for tent camping and motorhomes. The road condition is not the best, but a normal car passes by.

Great hike, far from the crowd. 3,5h, the path is rather easy. You follow a river, with nice views on cliffs during most of the hike. 2 old wood cabins. At the end, huge cave with wonderful orange hues. Some shade during the hike. A little less majestic than the south canyon, but for us it was largely compensated by the more pristine nature. We really liked it !

One of our favorite camp locations in Mexico! We spent 3 nights camped near the lake. The park is huge, many places to camp and find your own slice of paradise. They deliver free firewood in the evenings, perfect since it is cold at night, 5C in May. very relaxing quite place surrounded by nature. There are lots of hiking trails, but not much signage or trail markers (it would be easy to get lost here). If your hiking pay attention to your route.

A lot of very nice spots under various trees. Flat ground, space for any kind of vehicle, no traffic at all, just the kids from the village who were very friendly, well behaved and just spent the evening with us, didn't ask for anything.

Not a very private place to camp but despite that I ended up staying for almost the whole 14 day limit. The campsite is usually pretty quiet on the weekdays and in the middle of the day but can be louder and more crowded on the weekends. Very close to the west side of Zion NP which does not have an entrance fee. Good ATT service, level spots—most with shade but some without, and enjoyed the creek running through.

We drove this pass with our Volkswagen LT4x4 beginning of may. The pass just opened 1 day ago after being closed for 7 months. You can probably do it without 4x4 because locals do it too, but for a heavy vehicles it might be nice to have it because some parts are muddy because of melting snow. Might indeed be tricky for longer vehicles because of the hairpins. It’s a very beautiful track and we highly recommend. The wildcamp at the Caravanserai has the most beautiful views!
