Nice laundromat with strange, unmarked entrance. Either enter through the back of the store (G&B Fuels / Tags) or the unmarked side door to the small restaurant, then follow signs to washrooms and laundromat. Hours posted on restaurant window are 6-10, Mon-Sun.

Across Hwy 4 from the sign post forrest.

Big swimming pool complex with lots of different pools, a restaurant and events salon. The pools are nice and cool and fairly clean considering they’re open air under trees etc. There is a pond with two buffalos and ducks and also some horses around.

Two of us arrived on bikes and paid Q50 each to camp (it’s Q30 for pool entry + Q20 extra to stay in our tent). The friendly staff showed us around and let us choose a place to put our tent. There are lots of covered areas to shelter in if you have a free standing tent and the weather is bad.

They also have cabañas which would be Q200 for two people which I assume includes use of the pool. It’s open 8-1700 every day but wasn’t too busy when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon.

There was a guard with a shotgun at the gate when we arrived and we’re assuming he’s here for the night.

It is still here. Non potable. All as described but figured I would say it’s still available. Yes you need your own hose. Good!

Indeed great atm! Was able to withdraw free of charge with my N26 Mastercard. It seemed that the maximum amount was 1500 BOB. But I managed to do it three times in a row without any issues.

I came here to camp, but a couple trucks were parked with their boat trailers and taking up the whole area. The fire pits are still in place. Fine free spot if you’re okay with being very very close to the highway…

quiet place in Cochabamba. about 3 km from the center but it's easy to find a taxi around the square. there is water in a look on the grass at the edge of the square and the shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. the place is in a wealthy and quiet area. we stayed there for about a week. easy access even for large vehicles.

Nice spot, but as is the rule in Argentina: in the weekend it is not quiet. The young-boy-with-a-car-and-loud-music-installation culture is very much alive here. Locals advised us not to sleep here in the weekend because of this, and we didn't try this time. But during daytime it is a nice place. Bring your own wood if you want to grill. There's no dead wood left to collect.

The name is actually John Budd Memorial Park in the South Baymouth village.
Free camping, picnic table, fire pit. No water, no power. Pit toilet are closed for this time of the year (May 4th, 2024)
Very quitet place in a Cedar small forest, lost of song birds, you might hear some loud pickup trucks and quads on the road nearby but it is not an issue. A perfect place before taking the ferry the next day.

The night was catching up with us so we stayed at this gas station. Had to ask twice if we could stay in the truck parking lot. But in the end we could, it‘s hidden from the road and fairly far away. So it was not as noisy as other gas stations. It is also gated and has security cameras, can recommend staying here for a night. We could stay for free.

We stopped here during the day for a nice hike, and double-checked the rules as to whether or not it's allowed to park overnight (since there's a sign saying park closed 11pm-5am). Found out that, according to Bylaw n°11M2019, this applies to all parks in Calgary, and extends to their parking lots (no car can stay overnight). So police could fine you.
We decided to stay somewhere else.

when I went, the main camping area was closed. so I went left. there are Couple of spots down there ...I left. it wasn't worth the drive down the road to get there.

There's a much more beautiful and easily traveled spot not far from here.

We made a quick stop to do a inspection here. At the intersection of Route 160 and Cr169 turn north and just behind the cattleguard bear to the right following the two track trail. If you continue approximately 1/2 mile you’ll come to a windmill and a water tank, looking further down the trail you’ll see a fenced in area that is a small cemetery. Just pass the cemetery the terrain depresses slightly, at the bottom you have several flat areas and some concealment and wind shielding.

Open range area cattle may be in area; cow pies are plentiful. The two track trail is well rutted but most AWD SUV’s and 4x4’s should be fine in dry weather.

As noted by the OP this is a marked trail for vehicular use. I would have no problems camping here…it was just a bit early so we moved on a bit to the Old Stone House site.

At the GPS location on the north side of Rt160 near the intersection with CR185 there is a marked National Forest Service entrance onto the Comanche National Grasslands. Down the two track marked vehicle trail about 200 yards there is a derelict old stone house. We parked close to it to get a bit of wind shelter. Several level spots are close to the house.

Enjoyed a quiet night with a magnificent star field. Although fairly close to Rt160, the very sparse traffic noise did not disturb us. Note the NFS trail continues past the house for some distance if you desire more seclusion.

Open range area: cattle possibly roaming & definitely cow patties around.

Good Verizon cellular signal.

We have Chile plates and it was no problem to get fuel in the tank and in the cherry cans here for 6 BOBs, ask for sin factura and pay cash!

You have a 50:50 chance for this gas station. We asked at one morning if it’s possible to get fuel for 6 BOBs (price sin factura), he said yes.

In the evening we came back with money but there was another one, we did not get the discount, so we decided to come back.

Next morning the guy from morning 1 was there but he told us that the system is not running today so he couldn’t give us any fuel.

YPFB seems to have a system where they change between local price (4BOB), international price 8,7 BOB or the sin factura price for internationals (6 BOB).

All the tour guides fuel up their tank here. We asked them also which is the best station in town and they told us that this one has the cleanest fuel.

Although they do t give you a single factura price either you pay the full tourist price m, which is 8.7 BOB at the moment or you go.

Here is another toll booth. You have to pay again when you go further north, even if you paid at the other stations.

He said it’s until Challapata now.

We had to pay 5 BOBs here (paid 11 near Uyuni), we have a normal sized car. Can be cheaper if you drive something bigger.

As described! The temperatures are either cold or lukewarm. But hey, you can’t beat free and clean. Turning to 9:00 got me to the lukewarm as well.
I got there around 1pm and I had to wait for someone to finish, and someone knocked while I was in there too. So keep in mind you might have to wait your turn.
