Searched everything very thoroughly. Don’t know if they pocketed anything. Tried to scare me with the police and had to get full naked both directions. Also tried to keep my speaker. Be careful at this one! If you have nothing illegal stand your ground and don’t get intimidated!

Easy access and friendly grounds keeper. Showers were cold but clean. Secure area for parking and camping. WiFi and clean water accessible. There is a place to eat across the street.

Great place on a (sometimes) windy spot with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and Tbilisa Glacier. Getting there from Shovi takes about two hours on a rough jeep track with some small river crossings, rocky sections and muddy parts. Halfway there you need to get a permit from the border police (which took about 30 minutes but was for free).

Since 01.09. it’s no longer allowed to camp here (at least until further notice). They close the gate at 17.00 and kick out everyone who is still at the beach.
They only offered to stay at the parking lot on the other side of the street and asked 10.000 per car (no toilets or showers though).
Just to enter the beach they charge 4000 per car.

Lugar seguro e quieto. Banheiros limpos de um pequeno mercado. Abastecimento 24 horas.

Charming basic guest house. Host speaks no English, but daughter, who hopes to become a translator one day, speaks very well. The host humbly jokes about how basic things are, pointing at things and saying "Pamir!"

Surprisingly, there are clean modern flushing toilets, which look like they have just been installed.

Price still 130 somoni.

Great beach on Lake Victoria. They charged us TZS10000 per person for camping. They allowed us to use one of the cottages for showering and toilet. Both shower and toilet were reasonably clean. Hot shower is erratic. Staff are super helpful and friendly.

Noisy with kids smoking and drinking but they cleared out by midnight. Very swampy when it rains. Used cultural center bathrooms for free but no WiFi.

Bathrooms closed. Porta potty also closed. Use the cultural center bathroom. Good view. Less noisy than cultural center parking lot when it is raining because there is no roofed areas for kids to hang out at.

Beautiful. This is a family run hostel and when you are here they treat you like family. It is on the beach about 10 min walk to the town centre of Nicocli. Very friendly people. Hostel has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Well worth it.

The parking lot spotted next to the park in the city center was well too crowded. Moreover, access to the spot is no longer possible (dead end). We found this very quiet place (also a dead end no cars passing by) which is the parking lot from the University.
Very well located in the city center.

There are several cheaper options in town. But this hotel has a save parking with security guards. Rooms are clean, large enough. Good shower and bathroom. wifi is free but not strong enough for every room. Average Breakfast included.

Large gravel lot surrounded by trees on 3 sides with a couple of walking/biking trails heading out of it. Fairly level and located out of sight of the main country road. Very quiet.

Entrance Gate to what they call 'Source of river Nile'. Its 30000UGX for Foreigner and 5000UGX for car.

There is absolutely nothing to see despite some shops and restaurants and the water. If yoi wanna see more:

100000UGX for a boat (max. 5people) to the Speke Monument (15minutes) or
200000UGX to go to the real source of the river or
300000UGX for a longer boat trip.
Prices to negotiate.

So it's just ridicolous. I had an argue (not worth of course) so be aware before you enter there.

At this place you can drive down to the beach if you have 4x4. The way is norrow but with our 4t van it was possible. It is a quite place but still some rubbish around.
