Was not possible to extend here after 9 days in Tajikistan. They said it was too early. They directed me to Darwaz, I will see there.

EDIT: Had to come back to Khorog 3 days before expiry due to car problem. It was on a Saturday, so they were not working. A friendly local called the guy and he arrived at the customs by car. I had to make up the story that I wasn't able to reach Dushanbe before actual expiry of the import document. It seems like they really don't like to make the extension, but they helped me out in the end and even came to the office for me. I had to buy a new document and pay the import tax again. No idea if it was a bribe or not.

No sign, no one answered the door, and the various locals we asked said it's closed. It might be closed.

Just park a car where indicated and go from desk to desk with your documents. There might be a porter to guide you for a tip. Everybody was quite nice, except the car registration lady which we couldn't hear through the glass, bring a pen she had only one and didn't seem happy about sharing. We had nothing to declare, we told the car registration lady we had pasta and canned food. Nobody checked, she said they might... Insurance was also straight forward, $29 for one week, $46 for two, $60 for a month. If you are not sure where to go or park just keep asking people around.

Easy process leaving Mexico, as described. If you don't know where to go just ask, there will be people that can direct you. This border was way more organized than the US/MEX one.

Punta tombo now is 400pp, but worth a visit, you can get very close with the penguins, take photos and see more than 1000 together... ( try to make a new point but don't work, but this Mark is 25km to the visit center, only this part is ripio, gravel...)

We arrived here to stock up before going to El Chalten, we were so well attended that we decided to spend the night in this establishment. The landlady is extremely kind and helpful with our problems. Strongly recommend to fellow travelers!

This seems to be a common area for police bribes based in the Hoy No Circula traffic regulation that stops certain license plates on certain days being on the road around Mexico City. There seems little show where this restriction actually starts but the police seem hot at this point and have been asking for 7,000 to 14,000 pesos despite the fine being around 2,000. Some have got away with a 30 USD, some more. We feigned absolute (rather than partial) inability to speak spanish. we ended up not paying anything (long story, our dash cam helped) but if it happened again I would offer something like $30 as "all I have senior!". I wouldn't pay a bribe usually but in this case we were actually in the wrong so ..

Definitely make sure you read up on the restriction rules prior to getting anywhere near Mexico City.

Basically just a parking lot. Sign says 14 days max camping so I guess it's okay to sleep here. No AT&T cell service.

We normally dont input spots with gas stations. BUT, this spot is for all of those who pay 30R next door to park in a gas station. Huge semi-gated parking lot & all the usual amenities.

One of the campgrounds near Inskip Point. Camping can not be paid on site, but needs to be pre-booked. A booking can be used for any of the Inskip campgrounds. Most of S.S. Beagle is accessible with a 2WD vehicle. No fixed places, but free camping next to the sea. Few facilities. Nice terrain under trees. AUD 13.20 (2 adults, camper).

The little village was probably abandoned because of lack of water. There is a well with the bucket and a few dozens of litters. But the water is slightly salty. The houses can be used for wind and sun shadow. Good for cyclists.

As described. Did not really get hot shower but did not need it. Bicycle on the garage but they only open the door at 8 am and close it at 6 pm. Wi-Fi ok but be sure you get the one on your floor, as it is the receptionist that puts the password just make sure she puts on the right router. They told me the water was good to drink and I did.
