We stayed here for two nights. Hard to find shade on spot 10, therefore we moved to no. 6 for the second night. Surprisingly very good and very clean ablutions and showers - and very spacy, too. High chance of lions and elephants at night they told us - unfortunately not while we were there.

Very noisy place with a lot of traffic, not having a very good night. On the other hand, hot showers and since there was no one to ask, they were not paid for. A lot of food too.

Endroit très bruyant avec beaucoup de passage, pas passé une très bonne nuit. Par contre douches chaudes et comme il n'y avait personne a qui demander, on ne les a pas payées. Pas mal de nourriture aussi.

This is a beautiful place at Lagoa Araruama. It‘s a very good kitesurf spot, that means there can be a lot of wind. If there is enough wind, different kiteschools and kitesurfers are coming to do kitesurfing. That means, during the day the place can be really crowded. In the evening all of them left.
The road to get to this spot is a 5km gravel/sandy road with some parts with bushes who make the road a little bit narrow. We cutted some of them so at the moment it should be ok. also for big rigs. 😉

Mario runs a boat service that connects motorcyclists or bicyclist from El Salvador to Honduras and Nicaragua. He has a few boats. One is 40 passenger fast boat, as well as having a 60 passenger slower boat. Our group used him to transport 35 bicycles, 1000kg of bags, and 35 cyclists. First we used him to transport us to Isla del Tigre, and afterwards to Nicaragua. It's a huge help if you're wanting to avoid the hectic land borders between Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador. Speaking with him, he has transported 3 bikes at a time, but figures up to 8 is possible in a single run. Mario Melendrez is a cool guy, and can also help with clearing customs in either Honduras, or Nicaragua. He is based in La Union, although he can pick you up in either Nicaragua or Honduras.

One of the smaller truck sites to park overnight. BR-381. Very friendly and helpfull staff. After filling up your tank you can ask for voucher for hot shower. Amenities very clean. May be closed during night time => get the key at the gas station.
Drinking(?) water from the tap, snack-restaurant, mimi-market.
Traffic during the night reduced, fairly quiet.

Campground in Tecopa with hot indoor pools (100 and 104°F, man and woman separated). Day use: $18, dry camping incl. use of the hot pools $ 21. Full Hookup sites are available. Nice view from the westernmost sites, quiet, nearly no shade.

This guest house is very adequate, clean and crisp public areas and personable staff with a good food service. We stayed in a room with a clean bed and a hot shower. $20 US. Better than most of the other accommodations in Kisoro. Within walking distance to town, a few kilometers.

Gravel lot for larger rigs with unlimited dispersed camping. other descriptions are correct except no water available here but St George is very close with all services.

We stayed the night at the free carpark. There were two other (larger) campers so it felt very van friendly!

There is a petrol station opposite the carpark and next to the air pump machine, there is an outdoor tap labelled ‘drinking water’ and it tastes great!

2 min walk from the carpark are public toilets in good condition.

The area also has 3/4 restaurants, a pub and two shops. The shop next to the petrol station (The Green Welly Shop) has a great camping section!

Note: we came here at the end of Nov and it was still busy for the season, so I can imagine it will be very busy in summer.

You need a permit in order to stay there. We got a nice letter from the security. You can be towed there. They did not wake us up. Very friendly staff.

We had the best 2nights in Costa Rica here. The owners are lovely people from the Netherlands and speak perfect English. The campsite is very nice and mostly flat you have a couple of spots witch look out over the ocean. Misha (one of the owners) just installed the heater for the showers so we had nice warm water. They have a very nice kitchen and you can use it or you can order something and Misha or Yenkim makes something nice to eat. They have a book with things you could do in the surroundings. And down the road there is a very nice quiet beach with one restaurant where you can eat snapper with or without garlic and it is delicious!
We want to thank you again Yenkim en Misha hope to meet you one more time someday!

Stayed at Eco lodge. Pool was refreshing in the heat. An excellent area to swim and hang out and visit. Bed was comfortable. Dinner was excellent. Banos needed maintenance and cleaning. Bring your own TP.

Drove right through, no problems! Tempted to buy one of the parrots sold here though. Posting this as a means to quell unnecessary worry!

Great spot for a night or two. I couldn’t see any signage about no overnight parking or any time restrictions for that matter. Pull-through parking spots so you can easily fit a big rig. Not perfectly level but totally manageable. Next to a small beach and a dainty little cafe.

Excellent place to stay. We have two dogs so stayed further along. Out of season when we stayed, toilets were closed. But we stayed a couple of nights

Mechanic. Speaks French fluently and does very good work. We got our injection pump fixed here and they installed our auxiliary heating. He is called Abdelhai and can be reached under 0535513925. the shop is called Pneumatique les Champions.

Parking along a quiet street next to a free parking garage. Perfect located very close to lots of lovely restaurants and shops.

Maria is a very nice person, I felt as I was at home. You can use the kitchen and she helps you in anything you need. I stayed several days there.
Its a simple place and very recimmendable.

Take the road from Jale. First you enter a nice beach with big stones, drive further (only accessible for cars with high clearance and good four wheel drive). After 300m you can go right up the hill. And after a smal rock section you’re arrived on paradise! Beautiful private beach and panoramic views from the camp spot. There’s a smal walking path down to the beach very easy doable.

Daaaaaaang! It’s as hot as hell, and the baboons are out for a party!

The 70’s cocaine and swingers vibe give this places a groovy yet haunting feel.

Camping is very expensive for what you get 640NAD for two people which makes this spot extremely expensive and probably not worth the money, which is sad to say for such a pimping place.

However, if you’re seeking a steaming oasis in the harsh arid landscape, we’d still recommend it for a stopover. Make sure you feed the kittens... and the baboons (not!).

Quiet, no issues. When we pulled in there were a ton of trucks and one bus parked overnight.

Nice little working ranch. Rooms are clean, a little expensive, but it’s a nice place. Outdoor Pool, horse shoes, basketball, and volleyball. Billiards table and croquet are available too. Outdoor fire pits and grills are available to use and dinner and breakfast can be purchased. $15 dinner and $8 breakfast US prices.

I arrived at the Circulo Militar campsite on November 21, 2019. I was well received by the managers and stationed my camper by the pool. The electrical connection is in the light poles that illuminate the pool and comes as long as they are on, so not during the day. WiFi is guaranteed in the restaurant and bar. There is only one toilet and 2 showers. There are numerous huts with grill and running water. In front of the pool there is a pond where you can swim in the midst of large fish and turtles. Excellent pool. Nice place and more than recommended. Paid 50 Rs per night for a camper and 1 person. Safe and quiet place frequented by kind people.

The river can flow the hole arerra in one our two houres. We camp here and in the night suddenly there was water all around us! We stand with the camper 70 cm in water!
