Easy enough to find, open and clean, off the main road. Close to nature but could encounter unsavory campers in the space further down the road.

Phenomenal spot! Quiet with the exception of birds on the lake. A little bit of trash and signs of campfires, but still great. Perfect for one night as you’re driving across to Canada. Decided to stay here because of all the sketchy reviews about spots in Grand Prairie.

Flat parking for large rigs in quiet area. Library has nice bathrooms when it’s open. Great place to work remotely or even do a remote job interview in one of the library study rooms. Right next to dog park, and close to shopping

Had the place mostly to myself. Lots of litter and a dead rabbit that someone shot with a pellet gun nearby - packed out what I could but there was a lot of garbage left.

Pretty heavy wind overnight that made it tough to sleep in a loud tent but RVs would've had no problem. Recommend tucking into the trees as much as possible if you're tent camping.

Couldn't find any firewood for sale on my way south, so plan ahead. Dry wood on the ground is scarce and it's well posted not to cut the remaining trees on the creek since we need the wind break!

We spent the night here with 3 land rovers with rooftop tents. Quite windy but we parked to minimize the wind. had a lovely evening but as we were getting into our tents we heard a hyena. We watched from our tents as a small hyena wandered around our cars before leaving, coming back and then leaving again. A story to tell when we get home :)

Beautiful wildcamp in dry riverbed next to a huge Baobab just 150 m away from the road with nice shade in the afternoon. Take the turn off the road and find yourself through the bush before you reach the riverbed (you might want to scout it first), which you follow upstream until you reach the Baobab. (Not suitable for big rigs, as you have to turn in the quite narrow riverbed.) There you will find a stone oven which we built to make pizza :) It works brilliant! Also lots of fire wood around.

Pizza dough recipe for 4 pizza (just in case):
4 cups of flour; 1,3 cups of water, 1 instant yeast, 1 tsp sugar and salt each, 1 tblsp olive oil; mix and wait 1 hour; separate into 4 equal pieces and wait another 20 minutes; flatten them and put into a flat pan, add toppings, and bake for 5 minutes in the preheated oven.. Enjoy :)

We travel by bicycle. At the end of the road after the parking. Nice view over the sea. Few places to pitch the tent. The road is accessible only by foot and bicycle. There are showers on the beach and WC and water at the bar next to the parking. Quiet at night. No one came to our spot during the night.

Stayed 1nt nearby NW Spruce Ave, no issues.

Called Walmart, spoke to a manager who said "Walmart doesn't own the lot" and he can't "grant permission to park."
After some chit chat, he said there are folks parking on NW Spruce Ave that rarely move. City Ordinance is to move every 72h, but rarely enforced.
Several rundown RVs parked, running generators, etc. Anything goes here, it seems.

We slept 3 nights here! On Saturday night, around 4:30am, a car with some men stopped near the van and they talked loudly, played music and after an hour they left. They looked drunk. The other days were very peaceful. We were with more travelers. Friendly neighborhood.

A great find , great pool, bar area and restaurant. Lynn & Bertie are very welcoming hosts. The beach is stunning and they have created beach shelters for sun protection. Drive in 4x4 required. For the drive in turn right 100M before the tyres as the road is currently flooded.
We camped with private kitchen & washroom, they also have standard camping ,rooms, and whole units.
There is a small shop with basics but no meat you need to bring that in yourselves
For our drive out Bertie led us along the beach for 20K so we came out at Macarena.

What a wonderful place to stay! The road up is rought but so worth it. We stayed in Clemens’ Garden for two nights and loved it! The garden is gorgeous and Clemens so welcoming. He opened a room for us to use for toilet + shower (hot water). His son Paul was not around but Clemens took almost half a day and showed us the farm and even brewed some coffee for us after. We paid 10USD per night for the vehicle and 10,000Tzs per person for the coffee tour which we thought was more than fair!

Beautiful campground. It’s busy but mostly quiet, everyone is respectful and friendly. Bathrooms are decent. Our dogs loved this place. It is not too far from Vegas but away enough to feel far from the chaos of the city. Will be coming back.

Nice spot close to the road, but really quite. Not really flat, but if you come early you can choose the best parking spot.
Really nice view on the valley and the upper crystal springs reservoir !
No signification to say no parking at night, some benches to watch the beautiful view

One of the absolute best campings in Brazil and at a ridiculously low price, for what you get. You get your spot, in it you get a table, light, power, water. There are AMAZING common areas where you can hang out or do some computer work, as I did. The breeze and the high roof made of leaves makes it relatively cool. The one above is much nicer in the evenings because the breeze keeps the mosquitoes away.

The only down side? The beach, while BEAUTIFUL is not great for anything except a quick dip. The waves break too close to shore and they smash you into the ground. You can't catch em and when you go under, you get covered with sand. Going north along the shore, there's a more protected side, but still nothing to write home about. If only this AMAZING camping could be next to one of the better beaches, I'd wanna stay here for a month.
