we feel like to camp in a beautiful garden of cactus! 20$ in the loop h. we have to call for paiying because the lower season began. call to 520- 724-5000. Near the way to the dump station, there's a trail lead you to trails for hiking or mountain biking! have a App for searching the trails but there some map on the trail. easy trails in a garden of cactus, we rode the Irontrail with mountain bike.

Very clean, highway and train tracks close but didn’t bother me - no train whistle,

very nice do it your self garage. they have many lifts and one lift for up to 5.5t. you can also use several types of tools, do oil changes, etc. you can reserve online (check google maps for further details)

Provides Propane refill for vans and RVs with permanent tanks installed. Go inside to request a propane refill and then take your van/RV to the metal gate to the left of the main entrance.

We parked our Sprinter in front of the stairs and used the facilities. Very nice hostel in Atyrau as mentioned before. Very friendly hosts.
Additional info: They have a small cafe next to the hostel and they serve very good coffee.

We asked of we could stay overnight in a van, but were told to go to a hotel over security concerns. We tried in two hotels (Shangrila and Panorama) to stay overnight at their parking lots but were also turned down.

Wanted to stay overnight in our van in their parking lot but this was not allowed (the same in Shangrila hotel). Apparently not possible anywhere in the town over security concerns. At the end bargained a triple room for the four of us (two adults and two kids) for 3500r. Room is simple, but clean and with hot water. The garden is nice.

We were not allowed to stay in our van. Rooms are pricey.

What a great little find. We did the tour of the fossils which was incredible and very informative. The owner is a delightful gentleman who really knows the history of the area and how the fossils came to be there. 250million years old! Bush camp is basic but with adequate ablutions. Really in the middle of nowhere so super peaceful.

I have a small RV and I asked the front desk if I could get some water. They said if I found an available spigot in the small RV park out back I could fill up for free. I had breakfast at their cafe afterwards.

nice spot! there is a tip I wish I knew before, you can stay here for sunset and to sleep for free with a nice view and during the day you can go to Badaboom hostel and use their swimming pool, toilets, shower and wifi for 50 cordobas only!

Not possible to camp here anymore, a huge Chinese sign is blocking the entrance

$2.25 for a hot shower in a well-maintained modern facility, with shampoo provided as well. There are three shower stalls, two standard and one accessible, with enough hooks that a locker isn’t necessary.

Steep entry but lots of privacy, better 4x4, lots of birdlife, clean place

We checked first that the spigot was working. Then I asked if we could use it. Manager said that the spigot wasn’t working. Then I said that actually it was working perfectly so he finally said I could use it. 😊

quiet night, during the day it is an annex of the bus terminal, bus exchange for those who go to the viewpoint of the 14 colores mountain (not to be missed)

Stayed here a couple of days. Very nice, even with hardly any water in the river.
We arrived from the North, crossed the river, and left using the main track back towards the N1 south of Pita.
the road from the North is a lot longer, but less challenging. The main route has a serious steep acent/decent close to the river. Fine in the dry, but in the wet probably different story.

The water went up half a meter during a sunny days without any rain around. So take care a bit where you park..

There were some guys from the other side of the river showing up with guide badges and 'official visa' tickets.. 25k per visa, printed and stamped on it...
The locals from the North side of the river we spoke to every day said it should be free here and that normally the 'rope' point is only on the main track on the other side.
I hope they sort their stuff out in the coming time, would be nice to contribute to the community as a whole, taking care of stuff, rather then just a few guys.

No chimps for us

Wild camped on the parking place next to the Nazca acueducto. Very quiet at night. Around 8am the first tourists arrived.

Outside the Cafe there is some guy making Fatera. Is kind of a chapati with eggs and vegetables, very good and cheap. Nice ambiance too, since the guy is friendly.
Fatera with 3 eggs is 120 birr

Fishing access location with camping. Free with fishing license. 6 level back-in sights with tables and fire ring. One with swing hanging from tree. Good gravel access road. Highway and railroad 1/2 mile away so there is some noise to compete with cranes. Access from Old US 10.

Effectively noisy, but I felt safe, clean restrooms available 24 hours , and free dump station : )

Big dirt lot up the hill from lytle creek… road is a little bumpy but not bad, 2wd is fine. Camped on a thursday night, only a few trucks passed in the morning. Good signal with verizon
