This is the most suitable place to stay in Mollepata for real travelers.
Rooms are comfortable with private bathroom, warm shower and mostly working Wifi.
The lady is really kind and communicative plus she can cook delicious (as well vegetarian) meals.
They have a restaurant on site as well. It can be a bit noisy, which is mainly due to the type of construction (typical peruvian style).
Overall much more recommended than the extremely expensive places up in Soraypampa or Casona Mollepata (very greedy owners).

We felt a bit awkward trying to use these showers, since they are part of the local middle school and high school... we ended up moving on! You're welcome to try to use them, just a heads up on the situation.

A mixed bag. Didier was not around during our visit so we dealt with his wife Melani. She welcomed us and managed to help us organise with the guys working there to solve our problems

We went for some welding and brake pads and after nearly 6.5 hours we finally left.
The mechanic helping me with the brake pads was severely incompetent, damaging the piston and telling me it was OK until I refused and we filed the burr down. The welding and brazing I had completed was OK but nobody checked at any point the position things should be welded so it was completely wrong and we had to mess around for around 1.5 hours to readjust and sort things that shouldn't have gone wrong.
They have lots of good equipment here and a very good workshop it's just a shame the staff are not very skilled. I had to keep a close eye at all times and recommend you do the same.
Melani also made some sly comments about the fact my girlfriend and I shouldn't have children as we were not very patient (this was after 4.5hours and already multiple mistakes from the guys) and I had to walk away before I lost my temper.
In the end, Melani could see things had gone wrong so didn't charge us for the welding but we wasted a whole day for what really should have been a 3 hour bunch of tasks maximum! The bike mechanic was not employed directly there but was hired in and honestly it would have been faster and easier had he just delivered me the brake pads rather than "helping"

Huge rest area with separate spot for cars. Lots of parking, picnic areas. Clean, quiet. Great spot

It is a great spot, but because of all the beer bottles and isolation I was a little worried about safety.

Large travel plaza with big lot. I didn't go inside to check amenities but lots of varying Google reviews about it. Good sized parking lot that welcomes campers. Verizon signal one bar. Traffic noise wasn't the worst but was noticeable.

A fascinating vast formation of rocks, grottes, stalacmites, stalactites - very lonely, no touristic hotspot, to camp there will probably be easy, but just strolling around is very worthwile. No signpost from A12, but google indicates the right spot - from there just some 100 m east.

Random little pull offs through out the whole pass. Lot of private land so be sure to check where youre at. Long ways without fuel so be sure to fill up in Trinidad.

Parking lot at monastery. Big rig friendly and quiet. Checkpoint at the entrance to the town. Say you want to spend the night at the monastery. When you arrive at the parking lot, there is security, who indicate that it is no problem to spend the night. But do ask Father John for his permission. He's the man!

Honestly, don't go there. We had our car purchased in Chile serviced, as well as 2 small repairs.
They raise their prices because we are tourists, and do their job half-heartedly or only the bare minimum. They also stole a pair of sunglasses from us that were left in the cabin and pretended nothing when we asked to have them back.
Then, we went to rebel garage (which could not help us with the last problem we had) who advised us to go to the Chevrolet dealership opposite, it cost us much less and the service was great.

Franchement, n'y allez pas. nous avons fait faire l'entretient de notre voiture achetée au chili, ainsi que 2 petites réparations. Ils augmentent leurs tarifs parce que nous sommes touristes, et font leur travail à moitié ou seulement le stricte minimum. Ils nous ont également volé une paire de lunettes de solaire restées dans l'habitacle et ont fait semblant de rien quand nous avons demandé a les récupérer. ensuite, nous sommes allé chez rebel garage (qui ne pouvait pas nous aider pour le dernier problème qui nous restait) qui nous a conseillé d'aller chez le concessionnaire Chevrolet en face, cela nous a coûté bien moins cher et le service était top.

East side of building. Not sure if there is a charge. I didn’t pay but bought gas. Easy pull through for large rigs and travel trailers.

Here you can refill your water tanks. 5L = 1 Zloty

The price for a night to camp at this place increased dramatically. They require now 10000CFA per person per night. ( But you get o e bottle of water for free.)

Nice wild spot directly by a lake. Possibility to fish. No facilities but pure nature and absolutely quiet.

No problems here. Waved us straight through.

Good access for filling up your water tank. Water connection is on the right side of the toilet house.

Les frais sont de 10.75$ pour utiliser la dump station et je vous confirme qu'en mai, il y a un employé à la gate du state park. Nous devons payer les frais. Très beau state park au premier coup d'oeil.

Paramos para dormir aqui umas 18h pois a estrada tem muitas curvas e achamos melhor fazer de dia. Conversamos com um policia e ele nos falou que era tranquilo dormir aqui.

This is a nice spot to spend the night. we camped here with our RV (30 feet) and had no issues getting there. There is even a fireplace you can use. It has a beautiful outlook where you can see the mountains.

Natural water spring. used by the people here. really good quality to drink. is always running. big rig friendly.

it's a smal tap, not for filling up your tank, but perfect for filling up your smaller drinking bottles

Nice camping with a lot of pitches occupied by campers. We could stay for only 18 € for 2 adults and a dog and a Landrover with rooftoptent. We stayed outside the fence in a tree covered shadow strip at the maddow of the farm. We could use all the facilities of the camping. Very close, only a half a hour drive to the ferry in Livorno.

es un lugar municipal que está a 2 km del pueblo. junto al río. con asadores y en temporada tiene baños. ahora todo cerrado pero el camino permanece abierto pues sigue hacia otras localidades. el lugar es hermoso y tranquilo.

Le patron n’a fait que mentir du début à la fin ! La qualité du travail est médiocre!! Une fenêtre cassée par eux, remboursée à 50%, des délais multipliés par 2 …il ont faillis nous facturer des pièces non posées (si je ne leur dis pas, ils facturent…), déformation du longeron suite au levage au cric sur point non structurant. … bref si on n’est pas derrière ils font mal les choses et on repart avec des niveaux non faits….!
Ne vous fiez pas au apparences, ce garage est tout beau, tout propre mais loin d’être parfait ! Et très cher !
Bref, Fuyez !!!!!
