very larges Space yo stay. no to Manu people at this Time. we haven't see whales or flying Ray. people are friendly. very si quiet place, just thé waves of the sea. there Is a well. Beeing just one night I did'nt try It

Boat ramp and campground. Bathroom not in usable shape. There was quite a bit of boat traffic during the day, it was pretty quiet at night. The drive in is very pretty.

we arrived with our campervan because the engine didn’t work well (it often bugged to accelerate). He took apart our engine and seems to know well the mechanics of various types of vehicles, and told us what was the problem which would cost us 60USDollar. I went to get the spare piece he needed in the shop next door, when I came back he told us the Bolts of the front wheels were very old and needed to be changed, that it was very dangerous and they could result in our wheel falling of the car when driving. He told us it would cost 180dollars of working hours because it would take him all day to work on it, plus half of the next day.
After hesitating because of the price, we said yes okay. we went outside to the same store next door to look for the needed bolts, and decided to contact our mechanic from santiago to verify if the price is okay. He told us to run as fast as we could from wherever we were because the price was ridicoulous. Of course we immediately went back to the garage and the guy already took apart parts of the front wheel axis (and also our motor was still not fixed and completely took apart). We told him we didn’t want him to change the bolts, that we were in contact with a mechanic who told us he asked way too much. He simply replied to us that we should still change the bolts because he already did half the work (30minutes), and he would ask us 180dollars to put the old bolts back in, and thus that it would be better for us to let him at least put new bolts in.
Given that our engine and front wheel axis were taken completely apart, we didn’t have an option but to agree, feeling bad the rest of the day of course.
In sum, probably good mechanic, but will try to rip you off at any moment.

Low traffic, it snowed, I slept in my car, nice paved parking

12 campsites that each come with their own private hot spring fed hot tub. It is popular, it books up months in advance. Not cheap but very nice.

Noisy but doable for a night. Decent little dog park for the pups which was nice.

Yao greeted us an brought us into his home like old friends, he is very knowledgeable and has many connections all over Ghana. The property is located in the hills so it was cooler overnight, we stayed 2 nights with our van next to the carpark around the back.

On the way to the property, when you pull off the main road you will see many stalls selling fruit and some veg, it's a good opportunity to buy some things becuase there isn't any close to the treehouse. There are no signs for the place, just follow the location on maps and you will be fine.

Limited services for campers, we are mostly self contained so no problem for us. During the day we could use Yaos bathroom but overnight not, so have another option prepared. We refilled our water tanks & had some washing done for us, it came back clean but unfortunately a few of our t-shirts with decals got ruined. We didn't realise until we had left, so be careful with what you submit to be washed.

Large gravel lot at the start of a bike/equestrian path. Quiet spot for a good night sleep

really awesome hotel. it's really more of a resort than a hotel and the price is amazing. they wanted $30 per night but we bargained 3 nights for $75 for 2 people. beachfront room with large living room area and an ocean view balcony. amazing huge pool with direct access to the beach with tons of shade structures. we were the only guests for 4 days so we had the entire complex to ourselves. they even have a shop selling all the basic foods, beer, alcohol etc. they gave us a cooler when we arrived and anytime we'd get beer they'd put them in the cooler and fill it with ice for free. can't recommend enough, the whole area has tons of abandoned fancy resorts so you can tell years ago this was an expensive resort area but with the situation now it's mostly abandoned but this place is beautiful.

As described couple of faucet next to water tower. Some were working some not. No sign if potable or not. We took a chance should be fine

Nice little campground with views of the marshlands. Boat ramp, shower, some have electric 20$and some have electric and water 25$.

Even though it’s a very nice and clean location with proper facilities an an incredible view on Lake Manyara I would not recommend this place as the costumer care really sucks.

IOverlander as written above are only accepted as those if they are coming with a foreign car! Cars registered in TZ are not accepted as IOverlanders!

As my gasbottle run out a night before I asked them to heat my coffee… they wanted to charge me 2,-$…

The staff is arrogant. Courtesy, helpfulness and flexibility seem to be foreign to them.

Spent a lovely day/ night here. Beautiful views, nice folks. It was full by 3 pm. One large RV pull into a non site area after dark but didnt seem to bother anyone . So total of 7 rigs here.
Bonus is the 1.5 mile “New Wave” hike starts directly across the road . Great option if you didn’t score a WAVE lottery ticket.

Very nice water, not smelly. we tried messaging, but the owner only responds when you call. Took 1 hour before he got there. Also excellent spot to spend the night.

Nice place to stay and relax before or after the craziness of Lima. Swim in the pool and enjoy the views.

I took a room for one person for 50 soles, the owner told me me I got an Overlander discount. It’s a little bit more then I usually pay, but it is worth it. One of the best beds I slept in for a while. I wanted to stay a day more but it was fully booked for the weekend.

WiFi is quite slow.

Staying in your vehicle or even a tent is possible. Tent camping is on the parking lot.

The pousada lodge have the best view on the Calendula falls. The way from the Main Street is 15 kilometers follow a Bad road. The restaurant is good. The rooms are clean, the wifi is good too. I have sleep in a tent there near on the pool. Official is 95000 Kwanza, included Dinner and Lunch.

a bit more hidden by a small dune. there's a sign saying seasonal campsite at entrance, so should be ok. had a quiet night and no people around in the morning. should fit all vehicles. good 4G.

We camped here in a truck with a roof top tent, it is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The owners here were friendly and welcoming, it was easy to find, just off the main road. There is a swimming pool which is a simply wonderful place to cool down and de stress. The ablution block is brilliant, spacious and really clean. Nice brai block with water tap, electrics and bin by each camping spot. A really good place to stay.

Lovely Waterhole with camping with private ablutions and free wifi. Best pizzas in Botswana

15,000 ARS pp really good place, had a room to myself (not sure if this is usual). Free use of kitchen with kettle, gas hobs, crockery, cutlery. Chess set. Small pool. Good hot water supply!
