We definitely recommend this place. We spent three nights here. There were no dogs on the property and we had no problems with animal noises at all. It’s a pleasant place. When using the shower, the less you turn the knob, the hotter the water is (took me a minute to figure out). There is a washing machine but we didn’t use it. We filled our van’s water tank and got our WiFi from our Starlink. We booked two tours through Wilmar - one paragliding, which we recommend, and one coffee tour that we can only recommend if you speak Spanish, which we barely do. We still enjoyed the 4 hour tour, which included dressing like a coffee picker, picking coffee cherries and a tour by the old owner, who was straight out of central casting. Such a character!

Great guesthouse, everything is clean, the rooms are big and the owner knows some Englisch. We paid 20$ including dinner and breakfast, which was good. If you happen to be there on a saturday you should definitely check out the Afghan Bazar at the border. We left our motorcycles at the guesthouse and went there with a taxi (5 Som per person). At the border they check your passport and then you are free to go. Afghan people from the other side sell all kind of stuff. It was a really special experience! It's only on saturdays.

Really awesome place, very beautiful with some hiking around. Be aware not to park your motorcycle or pitch your tent near the waterfountains or streams.
Msny shepperds with sheep and gost herds come for the waters, very friendly and offering tea. At evening it's very calm. The whole region is an open park, the rock formations are stunning.

The campsite is great, private bathroom with towels.  The staff is super friendly, the swimming pool is wonderfully cool and the restaurant is good.  You can have the laundry done, 1 machine costs 300 Metc.  We stayed 3 nights and took a boat trip to the Bazaroto National Park from the lodge. It was very well organized and the lunch was absolutely great, large shrimps and fish from the BBQ with lettuce, fried rice and fruit.  The reef, 2 miles reef, was beautiful for snorkling and the humpback dolphins also showed up. The 695 per person per night for the campsite is well worth it.

Because it was a bit unclear... The price for the overnight stay is 140 bob all inclusive (pool, use of the toilet and shower in the apartments, electricity and water). If you only stay one night and use nothing (not even the toilets) you only pay 100 bob. The huge garden and the magnificent terrace invite you to relax and enjoy. Laya and Walter are interested and very friendly hosts. You come as a guest and go as a friend 😊

One of the nicest campgrounds we have been in South America so far. Nice and shady, refreshing pool and super nice and helpful hosts. They cooked for us every night. Fresh water, good showers, fast WiFi. What else do you need?

This place is ideal to clear your mind as there is only steppe in all directions. There is nothing to see except for some lemmings and some sheep. Some cars passed by on the dirt road (don't come here when it's raining). A shepherd came for a friendly chat. It was easy to get here with our 2wd sprinter van. Nice place invisible and away from the main road. Nothing spectacular but great for a peaceful night.

Nice and quiet auberge/hotel outside of Atar with accommodations (bedrooms + bathrooms, wifi, swimming pool, lounge areas under big tents)

B&B's Adventure

We stopped at Les Toiles Maure after a very difficult day in the desert.

The owner was kind enough to welcome us without a reservation, over the phone.

We parked our 4x4 inside the premise but you can also park outside, it is not a busy area at all.

We were given a little house with a private bathroom and confortable bedding. The place is very quiet, a bit outside of Atar.

Amadou, the cook, was wonderful, he chatted with us and made us feel at home. He cooked some delicious lentils soup, then treated us with some chicken in a sweet sauce accompanied with some rice and, for dessert, we were gifted with some pineapple slices. The breakfast was also incredible: French crêpes, butter and jams, Nutella, milk, tea, water, French Pain Perdu, some yogurt. We were delighted.

We do not think you can cook for yourself on site.

As a couple we paid 2000 OUG/MRU for one night + dinner and breakfast; which we think was perfectly acceptable.

We would absolutely recommend this auberge/hotel and thank again the amazing team there for welcoming us on such short notice.

Ps: this auberge/hotel is usually open from October to the end of April.

Very nice place. The swimming pool is nice, bathrooms are clean. The only point against the place is that they dont’t accept credit/debit card or cash, just wire transfer for an Argentinian to an Argentinian account, so you need assistance from a third party for payment (pague fácil, tourist office).

Good and safe place for visiting Bagdad. Friendly staff. We had a wedding on Friday evening, but they were really quiet and at 12pm everything was over. Taxi to the old town 8.000 - 12.000 IDQ. They didn’t want any money for parking. We wanted to give tip - no chance. Perfect!

Extremely friendly RV park, with FREE laundromat and nice showers. There’s also a 2.5-mile paved loop trail adjacent to the campground with outdoor exercise equipment. We paid $44 for a full-hookup site (that’s the only kind they have) and spent a nice quiet Friday night. Most of the other campers were there for a women’s RV club meetup. The visitor center on the way in has a really cool fossil whale exhibit.

Road to the spot is good. The spot itself is clean and empty on weekdays. On weekends very full. WiFi only works if you park in the corner on the right site of the bathrooms. Bathroom itself is very clean. The spot is very quiet and just 25 min from downtown Victoria.

This is a great place to stay.

There are basically two spots at this site. Down near the creek there is a small cove with room for a motorcycle/bicycle and a tent. It's quite hidden out of view.

The upper part is a large flat open space suitable for any vehicle.

I chose to set up my tent in the more open space so I had a better view of the nighttime sky.

We found the place straight away as the route was now clearly signposted. A very nice welcome from Ambrosio, who went out of his way to find us a suitable pitch, where he provided us with electricity and enough shade at almost 40 degrees. He also offered us some tropical fruit (caimito) we had just picked to try. Very, very nice indeed. We still enjoyed using the pool in the heat, as well as the showers that were included in the toilets. The green garden is very well maintained, but the pitches are on the adjacent parking lot on earthy ground. You can relax here very well during the week. Maybe avoid Sundays as lots of locals come to spend the day at the pool. The only negative thing is that you can hear the highway which is not far from here.

This is a huge parking lot that allows overnight parking in the rear of the lot. It is a big area that has multiple breweries and restaurants and you can walk around with alcohol as long as it’s in a cup.
