Amazing Campground. Get there early in the morning for a spot, we drove through at 8.45am and it was full for the night by 10.45am.
Toilets are clean and general store had some hot showers. Really close to the main rim trail.

No RV propane fill here. Parked right beside fill station and was told hose isn’t long enough.

We stayed for 4 nights. We did wheel for one day, but used this as a base camp for the hot springs area activities.

Exactly my kind of humor to post something online and call it "secret", LOL. Nah, but it’s like described, just ten minutes from the main road, super calm, friendly locals and after some days of beach with plenty of sand flies, a real blessing not being bitten by anything. Super for a night or two :)

We just drove into this lodge next to the road. There’s a village nearby and a lake. The staff allowed us to camp for the night. We paid a stipend. Nice under big mango trees. We had access to a loo and a lady brought us some water no other facilities but it was fine. Night guard was present. We paid him too. Very safe and quiet. Set off this morning.

Perfect spot away from the main road, and relatively quite. In the afternoon there is allot of shade as you are surrounded by cliffs. Downside is the amount of glass on the ground.

If you have a big rig, be careful on the way in. There some low hanging cables above the road from the main road to the farm.

Very beautiful place to stay. Lots of camping spots next to River. Each with their own bbq/fire pit area, table and outdoor light. Very clean bathrooms and wonderful hot showers! We arrived late in the day after a long drive from Santiago and the hosts were so kind to let us stay. (It is off season, was raining and our spanish is limited) He turned on the hot water for us and we had the place to ourselves. Would love to return in the Summer.

Thank you very much!

We didn't end up staying here. There weren't many camp spots in the first mile or so of the road, and you had to cross a large wash to get to sites further in. A local warned us that the area was prone to flash flooding! We moved a bit further down the road to the Apache Springs Campground. Perhaps there are better spots further in, but we decided not to risk it.

Found on Every Passport Stamp FB group from 23.07.2023:
KUWAIT EXIT PERMITS
===================
Previous posters have given opening times for the office at Kuwait airport that issues green exit permits for those travelling overland to Iraq.

The upstairs office does indeed have restricted opening hours. But if it's closed, you'll see a counter diagonally opposite you to the right as you go through the main ground-floor entrance.

Go down the passageway behind the counter, and ask for a permit.

I checked, and they told me this service is available 24/7/365, so you don't need to worry about getting there before they close. It took about 15 minutes, and was free.

Not the best. Around 2am some cars rolled in and folks were yelling and honking their horns for a few hours! We definitely didn't get much sleep, and I expect that the many other rigs around us didn't either. I would pick somewhere else to sleep next time.

Nice campsite which we had to ourselves. Cold showers, power at the site, toilets and lots of tables and chairs to use.
From the lane keep going up the hill past a couple of properties and it's at the back.

Beautiful area, but be forewarned, the spot at these coordinates has a TON of broken glass on the ground. Also multiple fire pits all within a 20 foot radius and a huge pile of ash full of broken glass. That pile was kind of in the way for parking a camper. We spent a bunch of time cleaning it up, moved the big pile by a tree etc. We didn't have a good way to haul it away or we would have. Do your part, here or anywhere else you camp...leave it in better shape than you found it.

A little bit old cabana with good bed and nice hot shower. 2 hot thermal bath 39 grd Celsius. We stayed for two hours in bath after a long hike from Cabanaconde. All included in price cabana. Diner was ok, breakfast a little simple. Only the owner is not really friendly.

Asked guy pushing carts into store and he said definitely OK to park overnight. So I did. He even directed me where to park. No problems at all. A little noisy but calmed down around 10:30. Woke up and saw a few other cars and campers. Well lit lot, felt safe. BTW, Sam’s and Walmart are right next to each other.

Lovely backyard camping spot with very friendly owner. 3000 pp/pn. Very cute baby cat and friendly dog.
Wifi, power outlets, drinking water, cold shower and toilets. Basic but usable!
Direct access to beach and walking distance to Maxi Pali.
It‘s possible to walk from here to the Marino Ballena NP via the beach to skip entrance fee (6$).

A place of tranquility, to rest, relax, swim, fish, stay the night, make friends. Super welcoming, simple and humble people. The "Brother" from the tire shop and his children are really good people. I was parked on the banks of the lake. There is a public bathroom open 24 hours a day and cleaned every day, two showers and a water mine at the exit to Careaçu, also at this exit is the Nha Chica treated water fountain. Next to it are two showers with cold water for showers. If you need to and look, talk to residents, you might be able to find a socket scattered along the lakeshore. Follow kombiletsgo on YouTube and Instagram, I hope I helped, happy travels (:

Um lugar de tranquilidade, para descansar, relaxar, nadar, pescar , pernoitar, fazer amizades. Fiquei por 7 dias sem problemas. Povo super acolhedor, simples e humilde. O "Brother" da borracharia e seus filhos são pessoas gente boa demais. Fiquei estacionado as margens do lago.

The owner told me that it’s 70.000 GNF for camping (1 Person with a tent) now. After I wanted to leave (for the same price you can get a room at the catholic centre) he said 50.000 CFA is okay, so I stayed. It’s quite far out of town and the mobile internet connection (Orange) isn’t good (one or two of four bars).

super busy. people just coming in and out. I think this is must be the only river access for this side of town. someone had mentioned that this could be a place for prostitution and maybe that could be the case but I think probably it's where people go to smoke some weed and then head out. The Walmart's not any better. it's very busy in that part of town so I decided to stick it out here for the night but I don't think I'll come back.
