Sweet / candy museum with a short guided tour. They provide a lot of history about Morelia and the introduction of sweet treats into Mexico. Tour guides only speak Spanish, but the historial video does have English subtitles.

Interesting to see the old machines working too.

Nice local bar (rustic but modern). Serves beer (some artisan), mezcal and cocktails based on mezcal. Food too; snacks, wings, burgers and tacos.

Reasonable prices.

Ismael and his staff are really helpful and friendly. In the morning he saw we were already making coffee by the truck, but he still came back with toasted sandwiches and fresh juice for us. As this place is only a parking lot, breakfast is obviously not included, so it’s a really nice gesture towards Overlanders.

Toilets are very clean.

Suitable for small rigs as others have mentioned.

We were charged MX70 for one overnight stay, but decided to pay a few extra pesos as we were so happy with the experience.

Okay place for a night as we were passing through. Quieter than expected. Lots of other travelers (nothing like Whitehorse, Yukon though).

Parked on a spot around the plaza. Place are not very large so a big rig may not fit. Nice place with palm trees surrounded by local tiendas, cafes and restaurants. There’s free wifi here. Locals where curious and very friendly as there was no other gringos when we where there! Surprisingly it was quiet in the morning so we could even sleep “late”!
Felt very safe overall here - especially “pedro” - a local - stayed here all night around the plaza keeping an eye on the cars...

Beautiful site with big open spots and views over the valley.

HOWEVER, the road is terrible! It’s not as rough as some forestry roads but the washboard surface is MUCH worse for your vehicle. Our front suspension collapsed on our jeep, and the next day someone else was getting a tow from the same spot! Beware of the road and take it nice and slow

As described. I got my bicycle on the room but it still is 3 floors up by stairs. Spacious rooms. not cleanest but it was good for a night.

very nice campground in an open pine forest 5 sections with more than 200 sites some full service some without service. All sections form like a circle around the spotless washrooms. perfect. 2.7km to the hot radium pools. These are open till 11pm.
Starting at campground you have a number of hiking possibilities and even viewpoints down to the city.

Great spot, very quiet at night. When is strawberry season around here? This place is covered in strawberry plants, but no fruit yet, unfortunately...

note: Motorcycle and bicycle parking is secure here (at least up to 3-4 motorcycles), but cars have to park outside

One of the best place i ever stay. Bathrooms, Restaurants, Lake and whater. Very nice

Small border office between Albania and Macedonia. Few vehicles. Fast. Macedonian guard welcomes us with smile.

We ask to the restaurant in front of the beach, he said no problem.
Noisy in the afternoon (music on beach until midnight), quiet after.
A lot of mosquitos.
Good place for a boat trip to Golem Grad (50€ for a boat)

Basic camping. Friendly owners and very peacefull. Wifi, water, electricity and barhrooms. Place for big motorhomes. $150 for 4 person including car and trailer.

I know the name of this hotel sound too posh for us overlander traveller. Not just the sound of it, but the hotel is too posh for me to actually afford it. But it is affordable. Found this gem in Airbnb. They got a tiny private room with outdoor shower that is just 3 steps away. The best how shower ever. Paid $9/nite and I can use the hotel facilities: pool and hammocks everywhere. Parking is open but inside the compound. No kitchen to use. Free flow of drinking water all day. Free coffee and tea in the morning. Loving this place after long ride from Peru. They also have room for 2 person. Check out their page in Airbnb. I don't know whether we can walk in and ask or not. Maybe you can try. ask for the Hobbit room no. 23.

Nice place to stay, use of pool, WiFi works but need to be on right place (by pool) we paid 50 sol for the two of us. No hot showers though for us!

We had a rear brakes issue and Alan fixed it in a morning and left them as new!
Really friendly guy - he’s planning on travelling down the PanAm with hid girlfriend soon so he is really happy to meet other overlanders!
It is right across the AM/PM, large black garage door. Open from 8am.

Hidden wild camping spot, only a few farms in the area, peaceful atmosphere, small beach depending on the water level

Great meeting point for overlander coming from south and north to share information.
Hans is really welcoming and can help you with everything you need. We needed a welder for our stainless steel tank, not everybody can weld stainless. Hans just knew the right guy and came with us to translate.
Hans organized a bbq with was really nice.
Whole place is really clean and hot water is working perfectly.
Really great place and we stayed longer than we planned.

Spot for one camper. Maximum Sprinter size. With view of the lake.
On the lake turn right. On the left site is a boat ramp.

Decent campground far enough off the main road that it wasn't busy in middle of August. Easily accessible by larger vehicles - we made it no problem in a 2wd sprinter.

Only downside was the horrible Wasp issue! We spent 99% of the time here inside the van due to swarming bugs/wasps... Could just be the time of year we came.

Great little spot on the beach at southern end of Sámara bay. We stayed tucked away in front of a number of private properties, all of which appear unoccupied, but loads of space near to makeshift football pitch. Easy drive down to flat, compacted sand - no need for 4x4 and plenty of space. looks to be a bar/restaurant just up the beach.

Zorgol Khairkhan Mountains is a beautiful Mountain. A lot of beautiful spots to camp. Take time to hike up on the Rocks for a spectacular view.
you only can reach this place by driving on compas and GPS coordinates. But it's a beautiful ride between the steppe and sanddunes.
we found a nice spot with a picknicktable and a small watersource coming out between the rocks. Some locals came by for prayers and offering . Very nice and friendly people.

Nice campsite, clean, quiet, with shade. Sunbeds on the beach can be used when you order one drink. Unfortunately the sea-temerature is not very refreshing now in august and there's a lot of seagrass swimming around.
Minimarket on the campsite. 20 Euro for two persons and campervan. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay!

Great hostel. Dorm is 35tl, private twin with en suite is 100tl. Comfortable beds. Can park bikes out the front. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Best hotel in town, rooms for 5000 or 10000 big room. Meals available, charged 4500 naira for rice and chicken. Makes sense to ask for price upfront.
