Visibility is very low due to wildfires on the other side of the mountain. Still a beautiful place to visit and a must camp location! Plenty of camping spot(Drive down Movie Road) A fun short hike, I recommend Mobius Arch! Don’t forget your cameras! If you like ice cream, visit Lone Star Bistro in Lone Pine next to Subway, very nice servings! A single scoop may just be enough!

Mini paradise, a place to park, a place to swim (your own beach) and an amazing view.

Perfect place to spend a day or a night or both 👌

Amazing amazing amazing cafe. Adorable ambiance - very shabby chic. Almuerzo menu del dia includes a coffe or Tea, the dish of the day, bread with and a salad and a dessert. The staff are so kind and sweet. There are hand made goods for sale and it’s a must stop for lunch. They also do empanadas but we didn’t try them. Highly recommended!

Drive off the dirt road behind the rocks, a large open area with lots of rocks & trees to camp .
Good for an overnight stay when heading towards the Zim / Botswana border crossing at Matsiloje small border crossing.
Great to sit and watch the amazing sunset & stars.
Local villages are in the area but nobody bothered us we were just left in peace. A few cattle & goats passing by the next morning.

Free Field directly at the coast. Very quiet at night but be aware of the cows you have to share the spot with. Don‘t get irritated by the locked gate. It‘s allowed to be opened but keep it locked afterwards, so that the cows can‘t escape.

We pulled into the lot here late in the afternoon. There are public banks across the street but they were locked. There are tiendas and a few restaurants.

The man at the park office said this was for camping. Super quiet next to the river. Not super pretty but walking distance to town and Dino tracks.

Hiking aside, the empanadas at the kiosk are the bomb. Save your money, skip casa de las empanadas, and come here. Only one kind (salteña), but delish. As of now, $150 ARS per dozen.

Very nice small and clean hotel with very friendly owner. We had very bright and quiet room to the back with a nice view to the river. 8$ pp for a double with shared bathroom, 10$ pp with private bathroom.
Hot showers and good WiFi available.
At the top floor there is a good equipped kitchen and two common rooms (even with hammocks).
In the courtyard there is enough space for bikes (there were already two motorbikes so I guess it’s no problem).

Very good road surface, obviously new. On a dry day it'll be an easy drive, but not recommended when it is raining as there are a lot of land slide sites along the road.

not a fan of this place at all. camp sites are jam packed together allowing for ZERO privacy, and there is no shade of any kind on the gulf side campground. stationed right next to a brackish swamp so putrid smells and mosquitoes galore. restrooms and bath houses are a joke. they're more like saunas from the 1940s with salvaged toilets and a segmented shower stall that joe bob built while drinking. it appears St joseph state park hasnt received any funding since the 70s. the only thing this place has going for it is the low volume beaches for day use. Would not recommend!!!

Great view and nice location (definitely 5 stars), facilities are only average. Positively we could fill up our water tank with fresh water (no dumping possible, though). Paid 40$ for a RV with 2 people.

Stayed one night in a roof top tent. Great view on the sea, but a lot of locals passing by during the evening. Overall a great spot. We heard the sound of the waves all night long, very relaxing.

Take the sandy path on the left just in front of the Sawpit Bay motel & cabins if you’re heading to Wawa. Once you reach the first spot near the lake, continue on your right and keep going for about 100 m on the right side of the path until you reach the big spot.
Have a swim at the lake and expect some mosquitoes and maybe some fog as well.

Pemex station on hwy 200. Not many places to park on this road. We asked a few different restaurants if we could park on their lots and they were all too rich n fancy to let us stay for 12 hours for rest. Had to convince manager of pemex to let us stay but they let us stay for free. 5mxp for bathrooms, no showers. Oxxo attached. 5 stars for letting us stay ah when everywhere else told us to leave.
