A small hotel, bargained on the rooms for us. We got two double rooms with balconies for 37$US for both rooms. Cheap. There was secure parking but for smaller vehicles. We parked right outside the front door where the night security could see the van. There was no A/C but the breeze kept us cool the entire night. There were other hotels around but 10 times more expensive. Clean.

Gate isn’t locked, but it feels safe. Entrance was 40 pesos. Quesadillas from the lady who speaks English were excellent . Friendly atmosphere.

Road is still closed. About 150m of road still need to be constructed.

Avoid this place on weekends, it's like disneyworld... We didn't stay it was overcrowded. Not sure we would have stay on another day either, you really have to park on the street in front of many restaurants

We are 24' long and got in fine. An Uber to the Mexican wrestling was about $30p one way and came right away. Bathrooms have toilet seats but no paper and fairly clean. WiFi worked great! 24 hrs: 130p, 12hrs: 90p, 1hr:15p.

Great community based campsite. Lukas is running this place and continues to build it. There are 3 campsites at the waterfront. Clean European style toilet.No shower yet but he is trying to build this at well. Each site has an fireplace and Lukas can provide wood. It is very quiet. Hippos nearby. 50 N$ pp.

Very nice place to camp! There are toilets and water now. You can drive further up the wadi, but its a military/border zone with a huge remote camera. We only did a hike there and camped at these GPS coordinates: no problem.

We were brought to this road by google maps. It’s abandoned and has no passage. It goes along a river and has missing bridges and extremely narrow passages. We had to go back after getting stuck during the night. Locals said that it has no passage further ahead.

Juul, thanks for the great place and your hospitality. In the short time you are open for travelers you have deserved all the credit listed by others. We hope the swimming pool will ad to the experience once done.

What a fanatastic campsite! We saw so many animals during the day and in the night. Many herds of elephants and buffalo’s, giraffes, zebra’s, impala’s. We heard hyena’s during the night. We paid 100 pula (50% discount) per person because it was low season :). It was fantastic!

If you are traveling with your kombi and looking for a place to stay for a night or several days, this is the best place, near Montevideo. We drove all the way up, a few hundred meters beyond the end of the makeshift road, until we could park in the shade of a hill (one hour before sunset) on this very hot day.

Silence all night, not even a passer-by. Wild camping at its best. No shade in the morning, just blazing sunlight.

Grassy lot one street away from the main square. Very quiet. No one else here. Nice view of the mountains (looking opposite direction of the waterfalls).

This is not the road! The bridge here is pedestrian only. Locals recommend going through Nieva.

Coming from the west turn left just before the bridge and follow the sandy path to this spot. At the time the river is just a trickle but I love that sound of flowing water, specially in this bone-dry desert. You are mostly but not completely hidden from the road, but the first car has yet to pass.

Tried to find a spot to camp in this vally, but didn’t succeed,as tere is too much private ground and houses. It looked very appealing with a flowing river and all that green. Heard songbirds. Still, it was a nice 8 km detour from the bleak desert from and to Codpa

Mt. Suswa inner crater view point and campsite. Lots of thermal activity sending condensation plumes into the air. Helpfull Masai community operate the conservancy and campsite. Plenty, very private, camping spots. Run down banda and very basic pit toilets available. Fire wood and water can be provided.
Starting point for crater rim hike, take a guide, Leopards are around! Good hiking and mountain biking (latex filled tubeless tires only, accacia thorns).

This is a great spot for kitesurfing. Wind blows in the season every day from midday. Marco will let you use his parking lot to camp. He has an outside shower and a toilet (no solids/ pee only). He offers food and drink and shade. Basic and very dusty when the wind blows, but if you’re here to kite, this is a great spot for a camper van. 100 pesos pppn. WiFi is not Marco’s but a general municipal one on the lake. Need an Argentine phone number to log on. If you don’t have one make it up. Needs to be 10 digits long

all big-rig spots full at this time. big rigs will likely have to stay in ixtpa.

we couldn't enter with our truck camper 3,50m height. the maximum limit is 3,20m approx.

One of the nicest places around the Titikaka for campig. Is not completely clean but is beautiful, you can drive next to the water and set your tent on a green site, friendly people and safe, we spent 3 days here.
Just find the yellow bulging (hospital) and then follow the road to the cemetery.

Yes ! A beautiful bolivian beach, no people, no rubish.

indoor food place. typical food with curanto to be mentioned most importantly: a seafood/meat dish (mussles and cockles as well as chorizo, chicken and pork mixed in one plate with potatoes). Huge portions, good to share as previously suggested here. Also try the cuzuela chilota, a sort of stew with traditionally lamb (or beef on request), potatoes and corn, spiced with coriander.

credit cards accepted. sundays an artesanal market outside is nice to rummage about.

Wonderful lovely lady and family to let you stay at their back yard and have a great chilean country experience for a small charge! In Cerro Castillo is nothing so this place makes it special! Great company and Maritza is just loooovely!!!!! Best to know some spanish but they also know a bit of english 😉

Its a small even ground next to the Roadcurve behind a couple of big Kaktees. Here you could Camp with one or two tenty, but its not accesable by Car or RV, only possibity is by Walking or Motorbike (50m from the road). From there you can see the nearby brigde from above, also the little geyser (on the right)and the river

it is small rv park. if you dont mind to be too close to the neighbour it is good enough spot to sleep. they have hot shower. 150 pesos for dry camping.

Very nice vibe. Friendly staff. We travelled all the way through Kruger from the south and this was our last and favourite one. A small gem. Also lots of antilopes and zebras in loop around the rest camp.
