Small parking, a few people in the day time come to walk in the forest. At night nobody.

Lovely forest around to walk and have Picknick. Also there is a swimming pool near by.

Just for small vehicles, not much space.

Parking at an approved "Village Relais" shopping center for overnight stays.
It's not the most beautiful and welcoming, but at least it's an authorized place to spend the night.

Parking d'un centre commercial agréé "Village Relais" pour passer la nuit.
Ce n'est pas des plus beau et accueillant mais au moins c'est un lieu autorisé pour y passer la nuit.

Best crossing in Central America in our opinion! People were so kind and helpful on both sides. We crossed the border in 1.5h. We arrived at 8.30 on a Monday in Holy Week. Quite a lot of people travelling for Semana Santa it seemed. Immigration work was super fast on both sides. We suspended our TIP from El Salvador as we weren’t sure of Guatemala would let us enter with a car. The officer told us it would not be a problem if we didn’t return, just that if we DID return, we would have to go to this crossing again.

In Guatemala it took a while for our TIP but it all went smoothly. We were scared they wouldn’t give us a TIP as we hadn’t yet made the 90 days out of the country. We put the TIP on another name (the original title is on two names) and no questions we’re asked and all was done! 160Q for the TIP. There’s a printshop that makes copies for 0.50 dollars. Guatemala asked for one copy of everything (title, passport, drivers license and entree stamp).

Water spigot in parking lot near picnic tables. Day use fee is $5 free for federal pass holders. Ranger driving around. Also has dumpsters and bathroom and nice lake with beach, picnic tables, bbq pits, and boat launch. But lots of trash.

Traihead of Sabino Canyon. We did both trails east and west. Nothing impressive. Some old fur farm buildings in the west section. Easy trail. I didn’t stay because of the no camping sign.

As the last commenter described, there are now many "No overnight rv parking" signs in the paved lot at the dead end, but there are several pull outs on the lightly-travelled road leading to it. Level, gravel spots with a beautiful view of the water. One to three bars Verizon. Places to walk your dog.

While we where going to the spot, at 19h, a local told us that the site was closed at this hour. When he asked if it was possible to stay during the night, he told us a big "no", and explained us that we could receive a multa. We left...

We stayed for 2 nights and 1 full day. We paid 18$ for family of 5 and RV. The hike to the antenna was great, takes approx 1 hour to the antenna and for the whole crater tour 4 hours. Very quiet at night. We were alone. During the day a few more people on a Sunday but nothing crazy. We enjoyed the landscape and the breeze after the heat of the pacific. Nice for cooling down. No amenities.

they let us park and sleep in the car. We have to eat something or pay 75 qt. You have access to the pool, wifi, bathrooms, showers. Food is really good and you can buy a margarita pizza for 65 qt and a beer for 15 qt. Good place. April is really hot during the day

We stayed here one night with no issues and we were the only ones. A sheriff did drive by us and circled the parking lot but never said anything! Toilets are closed due to vandalism. Good Verizon reception.

Quiet side street (calle Trinidad) from the other place close by, little traffic. Seems even better than the plaza itself, as it is not as narrow.

It was nice to find a clean coin-operated laundromat. They have plenty of washers and dryers for everyone. All different size loads too. The owner was very nice. I wish all laundromats were like this one.

We slept in this spot one night. It was quiet at night, but traffic picks up around 7 am. It’s parallel parking on this street so we managed to park with our 24’ motorhome. The spaces in the 2 perpendicular streets (Adam’s street and Figueroa Street) were too small for us. Parking is limited to 2 hours from 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday.

Rayo del Sol has a massage table and Felix who works next door at Karina’s has magic golden hands. Ask about it at Rayo del Sol. It’s sports-massage-esque and can sort you out if you have any issues. 300 pesos per massage, it was about 45 minutes. Totally worth it imo!

Paid for fuel at Petro and came in with the receipt. Cashier wouldn’t let me have a shower. You have to be a trucker to be accepted.
