Lots of parallel parking spots with no “no overnight” signs. Great, quite spot.

We thought this spot was nicer than we expected. Large area with room for lots of rigs. Rocky and somewhat uneven, but we were able to get level without blocks. 8 or 10 other rigs here when we arrived but plenty of room. Much quieter than the spot in town.

Entrance fee is Gs 25.000/person for the three Missions Jesús, Trinidad and Cosme.
From wednesday(in summer)/thursday (in winter) to sunday there is a lightshow in the evening. We saw on a sunday a movie projected to the church wall.
There may be a more elaborate show with actors on saturdays - but we only heard that from others.

In camping aisle has gas lanterns which use gas - butane mix canisters - the ones for camping stoves! Comes with a 500g canister. Not cheap at 36000 but if you miss cooking on gas…

Handy next to highway stop. The hot springs are the reason we came this way. Pools are hot but bottom is a bit green as we are told the folks who used to clean em went home.

This is an exceptional place for all three meals. Big and gluten sensitive menu allows for a lot of choices and combinations. Good quality food too. The outside doesn’t look like much, but it’s clean inside, and the only complaint I had was that they serve hot food on plastic plates/bowls. Great chicken parm and sweet potato fries! Don’t get lost by following Apple Maps to the back of the shopping center—it is in the front part. Update: omelettes and gf toast were amazing and the matcha a breakfast seems to be popular with the locals.

Warning: this is one of the best options for campgrounds in Tehachapi but it is not ideal. Two months ago the water was reported to be low and muddy, but it has become higher, so we stayed in hopes of kayaking in the morning, but their system is automated and the gates don’t respond to bar code scans the way they are meant to. Also, you can only leave one time after 4pm. They say the kiosk is staffed until 4:30 but that was not the case today. Camp hosts are non existent so we just started knocking on doors where it said “employees only” and got someone to open the gate. Few sites are flat, few trees for privacy. There are potholes all over the roads and the bathrooms are unclean with stainless steel seats. You can’t swim but fishing and non gas powered boating are ok. Not worth your $30. Google reviews indicate that it’s not what it used to be. Locals at the railroad museum said if it were less windy that we should camp for free at the old Kmart next to Burger King with “all the snowbirds”.

Bunch of spots leading to the pier where you can pull off. No signage saying you can’t park overnight. Best for stealth camping though, keep it lowkey. Spent 1 night here with no issues. Beautiful view and right next to a little beach.

I was having a hard time imagining what a bathtub at a truck stop would look like. Let me say it was alot better then expected haha The room you get feels and looks like what the bathroom would look like at a hotel. Pretty pricey but at least it's nice and clean. I think they have around 10 rooms so no need to worry about waiting in line and they have a dedicated cleaner who cleans each room after each use.

Pulled here to park for the night. We arrived around 9 pm and it was 48 mph winds. A soda can kept rolling around the car that kept us up at night. Then a group of drunk people woke us up as they walked passed our car. We ended up leaving at 1:30 am.

Beautiful place to spend the night in Barreal. Some concrete tables and fire pits, easy access to the river, amazing views on the mountains, level spots, trash cans (even a complete sorting system). Very quiet on a weekday in April, especially after 10PM. Good cell reception (Movistar). Construction works start early in the morning though.

Cobram 400 pesos pra estacionar no lago, independente se vai pra camping ou não. Na portaria informaram que poderia passar o dia, mas que dormir só nos campings, porém todos os campings estavam fechados. Passamos o dia e retornamos. Lugar lindo, tranquilo, limpo.
