I went here to find a replacement for my ripped 29 tire. They have little stuff for modern bikes. For example they didn’t have tubeless stuff or 29 inch tubes with french valve.

It is mainly aimed at older and cheaper bicycles. But I found a temporary solution, a cheap 29 inch tire and 26 inch tube here, that takes me to Cusco.

There is another bikeshop in town, which is called Taller Bicicletas Robert Bikes on google. I went there as well but I could not make a reference for them, but it’s a same style of shop.

right of the via verde, there is a beach for dogs named patja de la renegá. awsome place to spend a day, and a night. many places whit shadow to pitch a tent. obviously, dog friendly.

Nice place to spend a couple of days to rest. I paid 40 soles for a private room with single bed, I believe it’s more expensive if you book online. Better quality then most hotels in this price range. Communal areas with couches, chairs and tables. Average speed WiFi.

I could park my bicycle in the communal room. It felt safe.

The lady is friendly and helpful, although she doesn’t know much about the area.

About Campsites With a five dollar fee per night. Extremely clean and well stocked Vault Toilets- No water Or Dump site. All campsites Have picnic table And Fire ring.

Still there! Fairly slow and tap doesn’t have threads so best for water bottles or jugs.

KG->KZ same as mentioned before, not busy, just a bit slow. It took us around 3 hours on a Monday afternoon. Very friendly officers. Zero questions about our dog.

Stunning, level, gravel campsites. each with own braai and tap. Absolutely perfectly clean ablutions. Very safe with Cellphone signal.

2nd time staying here and still a hidden gem. About a mile off I-29 and paved road the entire way. The poured concrete sites are my favorite. But the entire campground is great. Two thumbs up on the restroom/shower. Definitely will be staying here again.

Thunderdtorm brewing, no risking driving to Island only to get stranded in pouring rains.
Overnight on pebble beach with horses and gazillion mozzies as company. Very quiet with no passing vehiclez whatsoever.

Signs posted: no overnight parking. Don’t know if it’s enforced or not and it is closed for the night.

Right off I-10, full hookups, we happen to be here when the wind is 70 miles an hour, so there’s wind noise and some shaking of the motorhome, only 1 other vehicle here, so I’m pleased to finally have no neighbors! This is not a resort, but an ideal spot to hop off the road, eat, sleep and get back after it. We saw a baby rattle snake crossing the dirt road on the way to the sites, so heads up for those little rattlers!!! Safe travels ya’ll…

Good spot to sleep. Not all spots are 2WD friendly. Super dusty (be prepared to clean everything) great spot to sleep while exploring the Grand Canyon!

Very nice place! They didn't have electric sites available so we took a water only. Nice trails to do with the dogs, a little lake where we brought them swimming. 12$ for water only + 3$ park fee/person.
There are bathrooms and showers in the rv parts but you can walk to them from the water only sites as well.
Need to register at the headquarter before going to the campsites.

Beautiful campground with lots of friendly goats. My children loved it! Just beware, one mama goat wanted to attack our 30 lb dog.

We were able to hook up to electricity and water. Plus they have bathrooms and showers. I would recommend this place to everyone. It's definitely worth a visit at least!

Stayed at primitive site across the lake from the dam. Due to severe winds, we decided to stay under some trees by the shore. $8.

This place is now a public bird park Macaws and butterflies

Fire department has been notified due to fire risk. Private property.

Actually the rest area has a gate with a sign on it that says "Gate closes at 9pm"...

Yes the rail road track goes along the gravel parking lot as well as the rest area

Great area for overnight, or even a few days. 5 spaces with water and electric hookups, a dump and trash dumpsters. Very well maintained. There is a nice park with a lake nearby, great for walking our dog and sitting to sip coffee and enjoy the ducks and geese. There is a donation box, please be sure to donate so they can continue to offer this great stopover. If the hookup spots are taken, there is still room for you to park off to the side.
Amore restaurant has great food and a bar, just fyi

Walking distance to the river. dorms are just mattresses in the attic of wooden house. privates are under the dorms so can be a bit noisy from above. Price/quality good considering location in the jungle. Starlink internet, cold showers, okay food

Just like the posts, it’s quiet, low to no traffic in the parking lot. No hwy traffic. Clean, nice little town. 1 class C and 1 Walmart semi present
