We just stopped for a brunch/coffee, but it is indeed a very beautiful spot. When we were here the road ended in a giant swamp at the base of the mountain, thus all the mozzies! No problem during the day. One friendly guy passed by while we were here.

Ok little spot…nothing too special, but will do for a night. You are very close to the road, but with anything smaller than a big rig, you can get well hidden.

very nice spot to sleep and walk to the old town of taomina. at saturday some teens came at night and listen to music, but left after 30 minutes. maybe better on weekdays.

this is the cheaper entrance to the canyon for the price of 2€ for the staircase (150 steps). there is also a big parking lot with an elevator into the canyon for 6€. you can park for free at the big parking lot no matter if you use the staircases or the elevator. dont fall for the elevator scam (if you dont need it), take the easy stairs.

Friendly people, good place to stay. However you should not park in front of the church on a Saturday night as we did. 6 am on Sunday a lady woke us up because she uses this spot for selling flowers.

No overnight parking of vehicles adapted for sleeping, enforced by cameras and parking attendants, and after the pandemic locals not friendly to motor homes.

Overnight parking prohibited noe, enforced by police after local complaints from noise and littering.

rest area with bathrooms, picnic areas and dog walk. in the cars area there are signs for an 8 hour limit. in the semi/trailer/rv area there are no signs. we stayed there from 5p-8a with no issues with a few others.

No host, toilet and water spigot works. Fairly quiet, but many fisherpeople until dark and a few cars coming through at night. There are not any real sites, it's more like one parking lot of a day use area. Well lit at night. Definitely a one-nighter, but great that overnight parking is allowed!

This is a good alternative to stay in Amritsar. Located 10 minutes drive from the center, this is a big empty area where nobody came during the 4 nights we spent there. Really quiet ! It's next to a big mall with a Decathlon and a supermarket Smart Bazar. During the day, we drove to the city center to visit (we used to park free here : 31.630830,74.871089). Good 4G. Toilets in the mall.

Just opened a second storage location a short walk from the first. All covered storage for RV's and camper vehicles of any height and any length.

The water spigots at the park were almost all padlocked. The one nearest to the picnic tables wasn’t.

Good place to stay one night, electricity behind the little cabin if you need it.

Hotel with big and clean rooms. 25000 tsh for 1 person. Another bigger rooms for 50000 tsh... Friendly people and place for parking cars or motorbikes. Bicycle inside room is allowed.

Passamos 3 noites aqui, lugar super tranquilo de frente para o mar. Victor e seus pais são muito queridos. Eles não moram aqui, e sim a 3 quadras. O bom ligar para o Victor para avisar que está chegando. Nós ligamos e ele nos falou que poderiamos entrar que depois ele viria bater um papo. No lugar no momento possui água e ele está fazendo um banheiro. No restaurante próximo cobram 1 sol para usar o banheiro.

Es un balneario municipal con muy bien estructura. Si, los motorhome se pagan pero xq usan toda la estructura y mucha la electricidad. No es injusto y tampoco es mucho. La vista es increíble y tiene todas las comodidades.

Large, level sites with big shade trees at most of the campsites situated in the Fish River Canyon. Electricity and braai facilities at all sites. Hot water springs with big outside pool and 2 hot water pools inside. Nice ablutions. Beware of baboons.

so difficulty yo find a spot in Santa Barbara, WE sent Ro the east. WE stopped on a little pull off by the road. very residential and road noisy. but quiet night. no issue. I cannot promise you not be disturb by shérif or cops...

There's a small Kiosk at the intersection, which sells NCELL Sim cards.

I got 40gb for 21 days for 850r. They also have 7 or 30 days.

Large parking area with a pit toilet! I found this spot because the other places marked on this road were already taken so I kept driving to see what I would find. I saw some signs leading to a trail head and found a great spot to camp. Looks like it would be pretty muddy if wet but if it’s dry any type of vehicle could make it up here. There were some sharp turns but the dirt road is in pretty good shape so it wasn’t bad at all. The pit toilet was full of toilet paper. I would definitely stay here again.

I marked this place as an established campground because you can find it on Google maps but it is completely FREE!

Opening hours of border are 7am-10pm every day. Last crossing possible before 9pm.

Possible stop for the night. Some trucks passed during night. We used it as it was already late and the altitude fitted to our acclimating plan. Not leveled.

excellent place to stay, we spent two days

This spot is absolutely beautiful. There’s a few fire pits. The only issue is it’s quite close to some cabins across the river that had noisy party people until later into the evening, and you can hear the trains blowing their whistles every now and then.
