We arrived at night. The hôtel wanted to take about 20$ for 1 night so we decided to Park here. Nobothy bothered us. Quite an safe !
We spent a perfect night !

Today no diesel. Good that we need gasoline. Filled only in the tank for 8.8 so foreigner price. Refused to fill in the cherry cans

Wanted to see our declaration Jurada (foreigners traveling with a Chile car). Waved us through.

Very clean, up to date, showers, bathroom, sauna, full hook up, on the river, pontoon boats, kayaks, paddle boards, boat launch and docks available. We paid 68$

We have fueled here Saturday around 4 pm. Directly in the tank, about 20 liters. 3.72 bol per liter. Of course with good tip

It is a new service station, everything impeccable. The parking lot is large, they have clean bathrooms and free hot water. Excellent attention.

Nice spot but right in helicopter tour flight path and they are low so moving to N side of town.

If you’re in this area, you have to stop for excellent coffee and great cupcakes from 'Dirty Little Cupcakes'.
Ask to see if you can park for the night…they said we could, but the parking is small. We couldn’t stay….But, it might be ok for a small van.

Great, and bad.... For the great. it is clean, relaxing, and even though the waves can be less calm than expected, it is still nice, and has an awesome reef if you walk to the end of the beach! The place is small and they really pack you in, but I sort of liked that with other overlanders that were very cool to meet! The owners are nice enough. The beach does get crowded due to lots of tour busses and big tour boats showing up all day. But here is my issue. It was expensive! 350 per night and then another 100 per young child (4 and 6 years old). I did talk him into cutting that to just 100 due to there age, but 450 still seems a bit high. But ok since we were nearly out of water and power and needed to do laundry. We stayed 2 nights and we're given about 10 gallons. We were told over and over it was because they were waiting on more water, but after the delivery he said no water for anyone under 3 nights and 10 gallons was a favor! We did not understand this, so we showered etc in our van rather than the shower they provide! It was very hot, and we had been talking about finally using pur AC once we got to this expensive camp that provided power. But a little electricity is 50pesos more and AC use is not allowed! we did not pay, and just used power sparingly. It ended up not beeing toooo hot to sleep anyway. So we were completely out of clothes and asked to do laundry, knowing there would be a charge. they said after the water delivery. so we waited. Then they said no cause they didn't even have enough power to make it through the night! looks like they have about 10 300w pannels. So I understand there power deficiency better, but still, we were getting very little of what we came for! Not to mention, before we left, we asked to dump our tiny cassette toilet and were told absolutely not! because we only stayed 2 nights and paid 900 pesos! We would not have used our own toilet and supplies if we had known! There toilets are very nice to be fair. But we felt over charged for a product that was misrepresented and left with less water, and power, and more black than we arrived with! All of this after I saved his personal boat from disaster and had to break down camp to move so he could squeeze more people in. We did have a good time, but its sad that the owners, as former overlanders, let our family go worse off than we arrived 😢. Definitely some cultural differences and I do understand they are basically an off grid rig themselves, with limited resources. But then why the high price 🤔.... We were able to dispose of a small amount of trash there atleast. Just know what you are getting into, and it will be a better experience for you 😀

Nice spot right next to the beach, a bit of road noise but quiet aft 10. No signs & no one bothered me.

Im so greatful for ioverlander app, I left cochabamba in late morning to get the Sajama National park and it got dark by 19h so needed to find a place. quick look on the app and found this little gem
this is a very cute familly own hostel. you are basically right by their house, its very cute and cozy. 40 bob for room with double bed and private bathroom with shower they even have wifi and parking in fromlnt of the room in the interior garden. perfect little spot to sleep before heading to the park!

I've stayed at this beautiful spot on the northern side of the lake several times during all accessible seasons. Be warned though, the bugs do come out during the warm seasons, but overall it's an easy drive in with a vault toilet, fire rings & best of all, it's FREE!

Non-Potable water.!! I checked with two different attendants and both said they would not drink the water coming out of the spigots anywhere outside of the building. when I asked why, they said there's lead in the pipes. take it for what it's worth.

Nice park with good bathrooms an free hot showers. Laundry available. Lots of free sites on a weekend in May. Only some sites shaded, especially ones on the inner ring (i.e. #67). Full an partial hookup available. Close to the highway. Would recommend for a night or two. Reasonable cell service. 50$ per night.

A great little hostel with decent off street parking and well priced. Aircon, WiFi, reasonable rooms and a small communal kitchen. If you were prepping a sprinter van or similar for shipping you could even do that here instead of out at the popular fincas. See pic for parking space.

We think it is the same owners as Casa do Los Almendros but this one offers better parking space.

Stopped to dump today based on previous reviews . Totally agree with everything posted before . Dump is easy to get to, has non potable at dump site and potable near by. High fly recommend it as a good place to dump

Nice park with plenty of parking. It's the weekend and there's a party with loud music going on in the pavilion across from the water. You can change your spot if the party lasts longer.

This place isn't closed, it's one of many little pull outs along this road. Obviously used recently as there was a fire pit and a couple of bits of trash. felt completely private as you could tuck in a little bit so not in view of the road. some cars driving by around 10pm, and some OHVs around in the morning but mostly quiet. Lots of bugs so bring spray!!

Wonderful place with lots of shade and all the necessary amenities. I spent 2 wonderful days there. The space has cabins for rent. There are 1 hectare of land with many trees and animals such as monkeys, sloths, birds, etc...

Our first time at a KOA was really lovely! The views of the tower from here are just perfect, and all the amenities of the campground were a real treat. Still about $50/night+taxes in the "off" season. FYI they don't start showing Close Encounters of the Third Kind (which was filmed at the exact site of the campground!) until June. If you walk across the street there are friendly domestic bison and longhorn cows you can visit.

Just ask one of the delivery truck or the guard there or ask for Esmit who will help you. We paid 60 cop though. Need to wait 2 to 3 hours because they need to fill up all the gas tank before they can come out with ours. Company policy.
