A couple of MA DCR people came by in an ATV and nicely told us that we can’t camp in any state DCR property … including here.

Nice place to spend the night! Quiet and safe. A little bit of slope; but our heads were in the right side :)

Very nice camping, clean and in order. Hot showers included in the price. There are tent friendly pitches with grass and not only gravel.

We stayed the night here. While here we had a tornado warning at black mountain. It was quiet and no issues

Maybe we weren't that likeable, or maybe we just had a different employee. At first he didn't want to give us any diesel ... then we insisted and showed him that we were driving on the lowest reserve and needed diesel. Then he gave us diesel for 500 IQD instead of 400.We were happy and drove on ...

As described very good and friendly dentist. We came here for teeth cleaning and he changed two old fillings

very popular place for trailers and campers. there's two secluded sites on the north section that are almost always going to be occupied permanently by big rigs, and the main site has some lakeside sites that also will be.
lots of sun, limited shade, limited cell coverage. great for solar and starlink though!
this is almost an RV park but without the hookups and price, can't believe that it's free.
we had a nice enough time but I probably wouldn't come back here, just too busy for my liking.

i came here because of the rain. Had a good night of sleep. it's flat on concrete. Car noise but rare overnight. Only one car pulled in in the evening.

We did the walking tour in English with Miriam. Her English was hard to follow but she was enthusiastic and knowledgeable but she sometimes couldn’t answer our questions because she didn’t understand English very well. Spent most of the tour in the university museum and walked a bit around town. We would have liked to have seen more of the city instead of the museum.

Really lovely campsite we would’ve lime no 1 but could only have no 3 which has excellent facilities but absolutely no view. We’ll stay two nights $250ND pppn (expensive but nice) tented camp going up right on front of us with view over the plains. Very dry and only a few drops of water in the river at campsite 1. Saw warthogs and monkeys.

Very nice sand campsites, level, Electricity only for certain times of the day. Very clean ablutions with wonderful hot water. Each site has a high wall to shade from the wind. Own braai. Decent cell signal. Nice restaurant and bar. You can order freshly baked bread the previous day, Fantastic!!!

Arrived mid afternoon , spend first 10 minutes tidying the place up.

Some road noise, but the view is great and you can find some shelter if it is a little windy, the view is from south to east .

We had the best welcome ever from Mulenga.
Wifi, cold beers and hot water in top ablution.
Beautiful view of the river and Mozambique on the other side.

Beautiful lake near the main road. About 5 or six sights for smaller campers or tents. Pit toilets and fire rings
Being close to the road is nice but lots of people come to hang out and fish etc… hopefully a Thursday night won’t bring in a lot of partiers

Almost before the exit there is a water tap on the left. It even has a thread but the tap itself is almost broken. Please only use it if you have a hexagon socket and don't damage it any further. The second simple tap can also be used to fill canisters. No idea if it is drinkable water or not. I used a filter.

Nice, small family campsite, friendly helpful owners. Small, beautiful beach, perfect clean sanitary block, little shop, restaurant opened 10.5. There are small and big places in first row. As the place is nearly 40 years old, big trees are giving shade. When we came (two 4x4 camper vans), there was no limitation concerning duration of stay. 25€ for a van with 2 persons.
Very relaxing athmosphere, but it will be different in main season!

What an amazing food experience … traditional and authentic with great taste. I would absolutely encourage anyone visiting Cape Maclear to come enjoy a meal or two here

Très bien, le paysage est magnifique. Nous sommes un jeudi soir et il y a peu de campeur, par contre il y a beaucoup de réservation pour le weekend. Il est possible de réserver en ligne si vous voulez être sûr d'avoir un emplacement.
ATTENTION le camping est fermé du mardi 12pm au jeudi 12pm.

Very good, the scenery is beautiful. It's a Thursday night and there are few campers, but there are a lot of bookings for the weekend. It is possible to book online if you want to be sure of having a pitch.
PLEASE NOTE: the campsite is closed from Tuesday 12pm to Thursday 12pm.
