Fantastic spot for the night. Scenic. Quiet with little traffic noise until early morning . Fishing decks. Paved with spots for many units right along the water. Porta potty.

San Lorenzo Park - https://www.countyofmonterey.gov/government/departments-i-z/public-works-facilities-parks/county-parks/list-of-county-parks/san-lorenzo-park - offers excellent RV camping on the cheap.

Why on the cheap? Because nobody can figure out the booking system, so it sits mostly empty. The booking system is solvable though, and onto those who overcome it, riches flow plentiful.

If you’re a runner, there’s a mile-long dirt loop just west of the campground.

Great spot. Wasn’t bothered by anyone. Nice and hidden from the highway. Amazing view and lots of room to cook!

These are the best campsites ever. There are a bunch all along the road with gorgeous views!

Really surprisingly nice place. Great staff, clean rooms. 120c fan room, 150c AC room. Tasty meals for around 40c. The owner is lovely, and good location (the town is quite sleepy though).

Great place to stay for a night and hike this trail. Quiet for the stay and the hike is bea-u-to-ful!! Was able to fit 170 ext. sprinter, which is about 24 ft.

I stayed in the camping area. I arrived late without a reservation. They didn't allow me to enter at first, but after talking they ended up allowing me. The bathroom is simple but clean. I noticed that there are power points for CV, but the space they allowed for my stay didn't have one. the price was R299 for a motorhome with one person.

If you're trying to enter this location in your GPS, be sure to enter the full word QuikTrip. It's at 66 and I-25 on the south west corner. Best easiest dump location ever! **after we finally found it. Ha

Very nice little eco camp site on the bank of the Kwando River with hippos on your doorstep. A very neat and well run camp by Kennedy, a knowledgeable and very friendly local community member. No power and no WiFi but clean flushing toilet, shower with warm water. Dining area under cover with kitchen sink and warm water. 3 Seperate campsites well spaced out to provide privacy. Just over 1 kilometer from tar road with good access for Overlander vehicles. Wood can be purchased on site. Bring own drinking water and lighting and enjoy this little gem.

Expensive for what it is, I took a room with ac at 130 bob ! I didn’t want to find something else in the city, way too hot for that ! There is a lot of space to park your bike or a car. Not very welcome owner, but if you are tired or lazy to find something else, this place do the job

Such a beautiful place! Kind of a free for all on a sunny weekend day but well worth a free night!

Very nice place compared to the empty lot next to the McDonald’s, which was OK but quite dirty

We arrived around dinner time. Very nice place to spend the night. When we arrived, the noise from the highway was quite intense but it calmed down in the evening and we had a very good night's sleep. No contraindication posted, a city truck came by at the beginning of the evening and as we had nothing installed outside, it left.

This place is really great! Cool temps and relaxing yet close to the big city.

This is not an overnight park, day use only and the PD is kicking people out during the night.

Cute little hostel with private room, shared dorm (25k) and tents.. in the center of villavieja, nice starting point to visit the tatacoa desert..
