Large pullout off the PCH with no residents! Big enough that probably 4 cars/vans could park here and be well spaced out. No problems for trucks with trailers or big motor homes. Beautiful place to catch sunrises and sunsets. There is also spectacular stargazing opportunities late at night. I picked up the little trash I saw, so I hope it is clean for you (:

5000 pesos pp in a camper van. WiFi was weak in camping area. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Showers were hot but lots of people showering in AM left my husband without warm water. Quiet, wind protected and very nice owners.

Great spot next to a big river. Very private, loads of fire wood. The road in looks tight and scary but it's really not. It's good surface just below the muddy top. Access was no problem with 6.5 m LWB 2wd sprinter. Elaborate motorhomes may want to walk it first to be sure.

Lots of room for bikes and tents.

5 star camping!

We went through Diama and very easy crossing. It took us 1hour in Total.

We paid :
- 400 MRU for National Park
- 400 MRU at the Mauritanian Customs for our car
- 200 MRU each for Police
- 300 MRU for the Bridge

On the Senegal side we paid 2 500 FCFA for an unknow tax.

We have a CPD (1986 LandCruiser) and they gave us a pass avant and 3 days to go at the Customs in Dakar to get it stamped there !

We got a insurance « Carte Brun » 2 months, 40€ and works in all CEDEAO countries.

Unfortunately the business here is not ethical. The lady told us 100 pesos/person per night and we gave her 500 but she did not have us change. We trusted her to give us the change the next day. The next day she gives us only 100 back and says that it is 200 per person/night.

We are 100% sure we are correct. But stupid us for believing. You can come here and see for yourself, it is absutely not worth 400 pesos per night.

Dirty bathrooms and pool. Mosquitoes everywhere. No hot water showers.

We hope you can help support us iOverlanders by not supporting a business that is not ethical in their customer relations.

Ryan lives Landrover from the bottom of his heart - he is a passionate mechanic and I think there is nothing that they cannot fix. Highly professional, friendly, helpful and fair prices. I wish this garage was next door to where I live. 5 star recommendation! He and his wife own the Storm Guesthouse - so if you need to stay overnight, go for it, it is only a few metres from the garage and very clean and affordable!

One of the most beautiful coast stretches we have encountered so far, both in Argentina or Chile. Wide white sand beach amidst lava rocks, lots of possible spots for all kinds of rigs, with astonishingly little trash for Chilean "standard". Please help keep it that way. 3G entel coverage.

We asked in the firefighters if they were given a shower, they have cold water as in all the places we asked and $ 30 BLZ or the price of the room, it does not make sense, in the firefighters you can usually ask for a shower.

Spent a quiet night here very close to the gate, feels safe as the guard is there all night. We asked if it would be ok first and they told us it would be fine. Only recommend it here if you plan on going into the park very early, because you won’t get much sleep or privacy once all the cars start coming past

Wowww!! This is such a paradise!! Make sure you turn at San Blas as the next bridge South is broken. 5km of perfect asphalted road and you reach paradise. You really want to go a bit further in the canyon (don't stay at the first pool). We went up 150 metres to the second big pool with a tree and a small cascade. we were alone even though there was 25 persons down in the first pool. I went then by myself upper and it is a very nice canyoning hike. In less than 30 minutes you will reach a point where the canyon divides and you can not go futher up by following the creek and there is a 5-7 meter fall on the left, a private sandy beach, lot of shadows and trees and a nice big pool. This is heaven. Before that many falls and amazing pools. No garbage past the second big pool. Water is perfect cold and clear (slightly brown). I did the mistake of going bare foot in the middle of the day...and come back with crazy blisters underneath my both feet. Use your brain, use your sneakers. Still worth it 200%%!!!
